Interesting to hear cobus say Elrigh must just focus on the scrum when there are so many other facets to the game for a number 8. Seems the Boks may be targeting the scrum for this one (i mean, more than we normally do), and thats maybe not too surprising considering the Wallabies did have quite a few knock ons in their previous games. Maybe we put big defensive pressure and force them to knock the ball on and strike from the scrums knowing we'll likely have penalty advantage and that cobus will be able to get the ball away quickly and easily with the new law variation
  • Cobus is such an underrated player, I hope he gets a chance to show his pace
  • The free kick rule, although aimed at speeding the game is silly. Teams will just kick up and unders which will invariably lead to dangerous colliosions in the air when going for the ball. Also an up and under more often than not leads to knocks ons when contested - we find ourselves scrumming again 30-50m down the field.
  • Boks should ignore the Rugby Championship and rather join the 6 nations. After each world cup win they change the laws to impact us. This is rubbish

You should get subtitles for the Afrikaans parts, I understand but might increase your following for those who dont

Legislating away the Springbok strengths because they cannot beat them any other way. Why dont they make the Boks play with 13 players against 15 of the opposition

So, if you don't want to scrum you take longer than 30 seconds to set and give away a free kick? Do repeat free kick offences become penalties?
