So, from what I understand, it’s a tradition in Japan for towns and cities to have character mascots, and Nyango Star is one for a town called Kuroishi. I’m not sure of all the details, but apparently he’s supposed to be an apple that’s been possessed by the spirit of a dead cat and his name is derived from Ringo Starr of the Beatles.

The style of this drummer is very nuanced. It is light in the variations and heavy in the hit. I'm pretty sure I have heard a japanese metal band with a female drummer that is out of this world. It's probably her.

Nyango Star comes from Nyan = a Japanese Word for a Cat Sound, Ringo Starr, the famous Beatle, and the Word Ringo what means Apple in Japanese! he is the Mascot of a famous region of Japanese Apples and a high professional Drummer!

This song is for animation targeted around 3-5years old and usually played for them but this drummer just hustled a little bit.

Whoever they actually are, they've played X Japan and Dir En Grey songs (bands considered having two of the greatest drummers in Japan) in front of them, lol. Some people think it's Akane Hirose from Band-Maid, which I could see, EXTREMELY similar setup and technique.
