I was born 1964. My parents were very young. We didn't have any furniture in our living room but an old easy chair from my mom's mother and an old rocking chair from my Dad's mother. There was also a record player and a tiny black and white TV. One of my earliest memories is dancing the Twist with my parents to an appearance on some rock show.

I'm 70 and I can still do some of these dances.
  • Grew up in this era. Love dancing even at my age 74. So many memories!!! ❤️❤️

Never will there be an amazing look and music as this generation.

Never in my long life have I seen Steve McQueen dance. I believe Natalie Wood is next to him.
  • Los muchachos de los años 60s sí sabían cómo divertirse... Mi Mamá sabe bailar Twist y al bailar resalta su belleza.

Im 40 but I’ve been obsessed with the 60’s music, fashion and lifestyle since I was in pre-teens. I always felt connected to this decade, like I should’ve been a teen during this peri. This is such an awesome collection of clips from this beautiful time period. Thank you for sharing 🎉🤩

The guy doing the Watusi is none other than Steve McQueen and he is doing a very good job doing the dance. Very cool!
  • It blew my mind seeing Billy Preston singing and dancing. I'd always known him as a keyboardist, especially for playing keyboards for the Beatles. What talent!

Billy Preston killed it at the end! 👍🏾

Toni Basil should be in the Hall of Fame Dance version just like the Rock& Roll Hall of Fame award.
  • My late wife could do all these dances. She was a natural dancer. I guess she learned to dance in the disco era. Then she marries a stiff like me!😂😝

Can't believe I'm 66 and My 2 Big Sisters taught Me these dances.❤😂🎉

Steve McQueen and Natalie Wood doing the Watusi. Must be "Love with the Proper Stranger." Nice to see them.
