I need these. Thanks for the review and show. I work nights shifts and my bed is directly under my window so it's hard to sleep with the sun in my eyes.

THANK YOU for the idea! Viewed this coz it's only a couple of minutes. Helped me solve my blackout curtain dilemma: which side should be facing the sun. I decided to just DIY reversible curtains. That way, I don't wear out just one side and i also get to have "two-in-one" window treatments 😊 Salamat!

Really just came here to see an example of what blackout curtains really looked like
  • The white side is supposed to reflect light and heat, whole point of it.

Thank you for the inside apartment demonstration. I was considering black out curtains for my bedroom that did not go all the way down to the floor. I see that would be a mistake and let more light in than I want. I want it pitch black dark, cool and *QUIET*.

thanks man no one shows how it looks outside !

Here I am again, two years later. I just hung my blackout blinds with No No brackets. Thanks, pandemic😊
  • So, what I didn't make clear in the video was: 1. I only made a video to show how effective the drapes were at blocking the light, and 2. The intent was to order twice the panels necessary to cover the windows so that one set of panels faces out and the other faces in. This way they look black from the inside and out and look nice from both sides. 3. I've never liked the way the "other side" of the curtains look from the outside. I don't think shears or simply the other side of the curtain looks very nice from the street. I wanted the place to look nice from outside as well. I don't like the way miniblinds look from any angle. And when I want to see out of the window I want to see out of the whole window. No obstructions.

The rail needs to be really close to the wall or the light will just show up on top of the curtains and to the side? Like a set of blinds but the light can still seep through the each blind that folds down? Really annoying especially if you work nights and sleep in the day? Best get both!
  • Are the curtains effective if hung properly? The liner facing the window, the fabric facing the room?
  • @JosepinoRizal
Question is that how curtains should be placed or which ever you prefer? I put the white part where the sun would hit it.

i noticed it is much quiter inside than outside .. do you have double paned windows or??? thanks for sharing the video
  • @markmorris251
Thanks for an effective review! But you have them backwards - the color side faces the room.
