To the man in North Carolina who gave Satan back to his military handler, thank you. I understand that it hurt you and your family, again thank you. God bless you and your family.
  • All these hero dogs should all be adopted by their handlers who’d gone thru battles together. The government should made this into law legally. Dogs are so loyal, trustworthy better than humans❤

I feel so sad for both families. The change of heart was probably to honor the veteran’s service. It is not easy to part with a beloved pet and both families experienced the same thing at different times. Glad the dog is loved by so many. It just shows you how much animals add so much joy to our lives.
  • listen yall, that wasnt his just his dog..that was his fellow soldier. his brother in arms. cant take that experience from them.

There is no greater bond then a war buddy. And a dog war buddy is the greatest!
  • This happened to my husband with his military dog. Was adopted out right from under him. We are still to this day heartbroken. I wish we had the funds and the resources back then to make a reunion possible. That dog was his battle buddy and best friend for 8 years. I’m glad this veteran got justice for those who didn’t.

Thank you to the family who gave this Vet his dog back. That was the honorable thing to do.

Wow! The people who adopted him must have been heartbroken 😢😢 God bless them

I just feel bad for both sides. The dogs family that adopted him because, they clearly love him so much and were clearly giving him a good home. And the soldier for wanting his partner back and with him after everything they went through. What a lucky dog to have so many people love him. Just wish it was done the right way, giving handlers the first opportunity and then if they pass a civilian family can step up. That family didn’t do anything wrong and I hope they can provide another deserving dog a loving home.

The family in North Carolina did the right thing. These veterans have gone through enough.

THE FAMILY THAT GAVE THE DOG UP : blessings to you.....you did the right thing, however heart breaking.......God bless you......
  • I would like to thank the Richardson family. It's hard to let go of a family pet. I'm glad they put the dog's best interest ahead of their own even if it took a while. Took a while because it's hard to let go of a dog you've come to love but in the end they did the right thing setting a great example to their kids and everyone who hears this story. So THANK YOU Richardson's and I hope you won't give up. Shelters all over the country have wonderful dogs looking for forever homes. Please give them a try and see if you don't find just the dog you are looking for. :))

Thank you Mr Richardson for giving the dog back. I know it was hard and I’m sorry and thank you for what you did. There are so many sweet pups in the shelters and I hope you find one for you and your family.

This is so sad, the military should always give soldiers first refusal. The other family must have been devastated.

I really hope by now that any soldier that was in a war should be able to take home their dog/bestfriend! There’s nothing like the relationship between a man and his bestfriend 😍
  • @gmctech
As long as I knew the dog was going to be well cared for, there is no way I could keep that dog... they deserve to be together....

I did feel that Satan belonged with his handler because of what they had been through together and when I saw Satan responding to the commands in the Czech language it was confirmation that Satan is now where he rightfully belongs.
