In a time where Drake is getting dissed by rap legends meanwhile every rapper wants to work with Kanye West and be on his upcoming album Vultures, it has never been more clear about just how different these two artists are...

Drake is respected like a celebrity more than as a musician. Kanye is still very much respected as a musician
  • @jonahhammond2438
Ye is able to make any style fit him and collaborates with anyone who he thinks has a vision for music- not just working with big names
  • I would argue: Drake makes music for the status Kanye makes music for the people

Y'all know we love Kanye Both old and new Kanye

Drake makes albums that will last a couple months. Ye makes art out of albums that will last a lifetime

YE is just ORIGINAL. Guy plays instruments, produces raps .... Has Grammys for producing hits for other artists...That's GENIUS. Drake is more mainstream though great ...but YE is a complete artist .

I'm a big fan of both Drake and Ye, but this is definitely true. Kanye gave Lupe Fiasco, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross etc career defining songs which helped each of them pursue future success. Drake at most has helped... partynextdoor? He rides the wave of rappers when theyre already big.

When Kanye was 30, he released MBDTF. When Drake was 32, he released Certified Boy Lover. There you have it

Kanye literally expressed himself created his own type of rap influenced a whole new sound. He’s got some mental illness but he’s realer than drake. Drake is just a big front.

I agree 1000% with this video. Drake rides waves now. Kanye creates them and teaches others how to as well.
  • @SpAceDrragon
Kanye was the first rapper I got into when I was a kid , I’m 26 now , crazy perspective

seeing kanye and cudi back together put a smile on my face man… beautiful
  • @doc2058
I agree with this 100%. Spot on. Kanye West (for me) is one of Hip-Hop’s most important producers and artist, he has an aura for his guests to willingly and wholeheartedly go above and beyond. Can’t wait for Vultures. Amazing video.

Working with Kanye is like going and finish the college, after this rite of passage you are ready to reach greater heights. Working with Drake means you're reaching an audience, and he wants a slice of that audience too!

Kanye doesn't dis other rappers in his songs and Drake does it constantly, even to people he's worked with

Kanye musically isn’t afraid to test out new sounds and create things that haven’t been thought of in ways that most people don’t realise until years after how he managed to come up with certain beats from sampling some of the most random things together to create songs. Drake (and I’ve told my friends this for years) is the type of artist who “stays at the top” by just looking for what’s up next and copying new sounds or hopping on new artists waves all while “giving them some love” sure drake is a commercial beast but most of the time it’s his chameleon nature which allows him to have commercial success but in terms of legacy he doesn’t come close to Kanye and at the end of the day musicians are creators so they’ll always appreciate someone who’s brave enough to explore new types of sounds vs someone who is good at adjusting to the new sound. On a side note a perfect example of this is the way drake deals with artists from the UK since I’m from the UK but live in the states. Drake has admitted in early interviews that he found out about certain UK artists by just browsing YouTube and then found an artist that he liked and let’s be honest most Americans in the past have not even given UK artists any attention all while Drake never really stopped keeping an eye on them, fast forward several years and then you see Drake has made a remix with Dave on his song Wanna know (which most Americans don’t realise the Drake version isn’t the original, and Drake has now starte collabing with skepta and other UK artists who previously never really got a “co-sign” from any big North American rap/hip hop artists. Then Drake tries to make a grime album in which he steals XXXtentacions flow which starts their beef because Drake after getting called out tries to act like he’s never heard of him etc but this is just a small snipped of Drake moving into other lanes instead of creating his own unique one

They love Kanye cause Kanye is their inspiration. Nobody has ever said "yeah drake is my biggest influence, he is the reason i make music" 😂
