The EnderEnder 3.0 is overdue for an upgrade, so we experiment with a method of killing mobs automatically using splash potions. The Ultimate Enchanting system gets its looks figured out. We also get started with the new 1.19.4 horse breeding mechanics.

  • This episode is a perfect example of why Etho is such an OG legend. He's so isolated from "modern" minecraft youtube trends, but independently invents insane things regularly
  • @Connor_Moore
This is a classic Etho episode: utilizing little quirky mechanics to create clever solutions. Nothing better than that.
  • @MYG
Insane that you found a genuinely useful innovation from such a forgotten item
  • @sepiar7682
Etho just casually inventing a revolutionary method for afk farming mobs with the most useless item in the game, average day for him honestly. Love you Etho!
  • @schneiderwolf
Now all I need is a BdoubleO episode where he praises Etho for reinventing Mob Farms
  • Hey Etho, here's something handy to know about breeding horses for their health stat (if you didn't know already). Since each heart of the horse occupies two health points, a horse with an odd amount of health will have their health cut off, since their health bars don't have half hearts. This means a horse with 21 HP will only have 10 hearts! But you can test to see if the horse has an odd amount of health by punching it and immediately riding to see if any health was deducted from their bar. If they are missing half a heart, their health bar is accurate, but if the heart is still full, then they have 1 more health point than it appears. This is useful when you're trying to reach 30 HP (15 hearts) but don't know if your newly bred horses don't have 29 or 28 HP. Hope this helps in your super mule journey!
  • Grew up in the US watching Ethoslab, and eventually got into Team Canada. Being a kid this translated into "wow Canadians are so cool!" so my mom and I visited Montreal when we got the chance. Having been to Montreal then turned into a foothold that made my parents comfortable with sending me there when I was accepted into university, as Montreal had my best option. Saw this video drop as I sit here in Montreal and it dawned on me that Etho literally caused me to move countries. PS. It's crazy to see all the iterations of the Ender Ender a decade later! Super impressive, thank you for continuing this series--your work is my favorite on YT.

28:48 - 29:15 Has a very "Software developer re-reading code they wrote 6 years ago and not understanding a single bit including the comments" vibe and it made me laugh too hard
  • Etho! If you didn't already know, your 26 heart skeleton horse is incredibly rare and no longer obtainable as their existence is a bug that was patched in 1.11. It would be epic if you made some sort of museum for the "artifacts" of your world that can't be obtained anymore.

An idea: maybe have a jingle go off if the target block doesn't get triggered for a while so you know when it needs refilling.
  • This will absolutely be an episode to come back to in the future. It’s an absolutely prime cut of Etho: original use of game mechanics, amazing building, starting a new project & revisiting something old. Thanks for always bringing the best Minecraft content to yt dude!
  • @beegusburger
Two let’s plays back to back…we’re getting blessed everyone
  • The zig-zag-ness of the wood types makes the gradient look really natural, great job!
  • @themalmadius
I really love how ‘the complex’ is looking. The ultimate enchanting set up, the automated villager trading hall, and the future armor trimming room is really going to make this whole build come together. Good thing it’s not a base though
  • @crafter9168
15:10 If it's going to be a dead end you should make another mural of sorts. The idea of slowly making murals around the world of key points in the series is cool.
  • It never fails to amaze me how you can see an overlooked item in the game and instead of ignoring it like most people, take it as inspiration for a new project!
  • Two Lets play videos in the last 10 days? We must be on Etho's nice list so far! :) Thanks my guy Etho, keep up the good work.
  • @dansnell5774
Honestly Etho I think it’d be cool if you did something with the fact that skeleton horses can breathe underwater. Like, making a path along the ocean floor between two major places you visit with the path lined with conduits to give you infinite water breathing as long as you don’t stray from the path
  • @gggrar
14:55 If you decide to make it a dead end, you should add pixel art or some kind of sculpture!
  • @shock2231
always love the etho episodes where etho makes an etho-like invention
