It's so strange that Scientology was able to claim to be a religion in the first place,

Scientology has gotten where they are by abusing the legal system, and it would be sweet irony if former members sued them into bankruptcy. The tax exempt status of these psycho grifters should be rescinded.

This lawsuit was a long time in the making. A law firm of this magnitude does not take a claim like this lightly. I bet Leah and the lawyers have been working tirelessly for years now to put a case together, it doesn't happen overnight. Leah is now able to fight for all the victims of CofS abuses, give them all a voice - and I betcha she won't settle out of court for any amount. She will take this all the way to trial. Go Leah!!! You have a whole legion of people rooting for you

Pray for Leah’s safety & the safety of all survivors of Scientology. I hope Leah’s case will finally force Scientology to be held accountable for their never-ending harassment & psychological torture of their critics. I hope this is this the catalyst that will find them losing their tax exempt status in America.

How on God’s earth did this cult get SO powerful and get away with utterly illegal activities toward people who disagree with their sick ideology

I was in the sea org working renovations, and my wife was in the guardians office, our infant daughter was housed separately from us and we only saw her on our day off and felt she was being neglected so we decided to leave and return to Cincinnati. We left like thieves in the night and were paranoid for years. We received letters and phone calls and visits regularly. To see the title of this story, immediately listened to the beginning of it, 2:35 until I couldn't wait to comment. I received a letter a few days ago and was shocked but understand the relation to this law suit. Lynda and I used to love watching the shows with Mike and Leah. They confirmed what we felt. We never said anything about our experiences to avoid scientology reprisals. I'm glad to see Leah is getting some traction from her exposure of scientology. I regret never having shown support and believe that's understandable to others who have had similar experiences. Chris
