Santana is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1966 by Mexican-born guitarist Carlos Santana. The band has undergone various recording and performing line-ups in its history, with Santana being the only consistent member.

Writing a piece about Santana is not unlike explaining who Santa Claus is: a useless activity because everybody knows the name and what it stands for. Carlos Santana has been in the business for almost 40 years and his music still dazzles many different generations. Whether you got hooked on his soaring, screaming guitar lines during the 1969 Woodstock Festival, or 30 years later when Santana made an incredible comeback with the Supernatural album, the thrill of his music has only augmented because the master guitar player himself has matured to a level that only a few of us can hope to reach. Supernatural sold over 25 million worldwide. During his North Sea concert Santana, one of the few true legends of rock, will be celebrating a life in music. Don’t miss the party!
