Idk if it's weird but sometimes i watch my own older video's, because they are a bit like time capsules of what i was thinking back then. This was before Marley's video gaining around half a million views ofcourse. I must say, sometimes i miss this time, because now i cannot keep up with who subscribes, it's a number that goes up and down. Feels impersonal, i find it hard to connect with who subscribes. I basically have no idea who you all are! (In the rare case somebody reads this: Please introduce yourself if you like!) The almighty algorithm treats me differently too i have noticed. That shouldn't be surprising but i don't know how to feel about it. If a video i make is not basically a carbon copy of Marley peacefully sleeping under a blanket it won't even get recommended to friends i know in real life. And that does irk me, i don't mind having 12 views because nobody knew the video existed but i do mind having 12 views because a computerprogram decided nobody should know the video existed. It's not the same thing in my opinion. This is obviously not something unique to me to state the obvious but still. I'll keep making video's i myself would like to see on YouTube, even if that means only getting 12 views. Because there was a time even 12 views was a lot. And i appreciate what i've got. I rather stay unknown but genuine than more well known but not genuine.
