I remember being online when that end portal sound rung. People from ages ago where like: popbobs at it again!

i understand your feeling. i was grifed by a player and spent the rest of the my time on the server in a escalating war of intelligence counterintelligence, ambushes, traps, raids and way too many griefed bases. we were nemesis. i still have fond memories of exploring his bases. when he log off and never come back i realized that my time on that server was fueled by the rivalry with him. so when you speak of popbob i can understand you all too well

2b2t is less an anarchy server and more like a story of hubris, war, compassion, and teamwork.

Fit really had a anime backstory when talking about his encounter with Popbob

I have to imagine Popbob knew leaving one empty portal frame just begs someone to place an eye there, and if he knew placing an eye would play the end portal sound, then all he would have to do is wait for news of the sound being heard; and he would know one of his portals had been found. That's just my personal theory, I can't think of another reason why someone would leave a trap like that. And if you had admin control and could just spawn a portal, why would you go through the trouble of even making the end portal frames?

The lore is incredible, an undiscovered room found in the ruins of a temple owned by a feared and powerful wizard, with a inter dimensional gateway being opened up by an unsuspecting traveler causing panic across the world. It writes itself!

I find it amusing that the chat that’s normally so chaotic was filled with “what” and “bruh” for a solid few seconds as Alex lit the portal
