  • I'd rather watch a show about a poor family during the depression than all those sex shows of today!  It's hard to believe Earl Hamner is that old & so frail today...time has passed so quickly!

Time has gone by so fast . However the Walton's is timeless

We are all aging for sure, truly wish that not be the case but we cannot deny ourselves that we are growing older and we must be grateful for many others are denied that precious gift of longevity.  Thank you so much for sharing this moment and the meaning it has with us all as fans and fellow citizens of the world.  The Waltons will always have a very special place in our hearts and we have this awesome man to thank for that for it is based on his real life.  A life we are blessed that he shared with all of us. God bless you sir for you have blessed us with your stories, love you. Dennis Kendell Yates from Mount Joy, Pa.  Sending out love to all of you, always.  xxxxx More than a tv show to me, you are all part of my extended family always.
  • Loved Will Geer and "Grandpa walton". I especially loved the mind and person of Earl Hamner. I am just a woman living in a small town who was greatly influenced by The Waltons. All I ever wanted to be was like Olivia Walton. I did my best. we had a farm and 7 children (5 adopted) and tried to live by the values expressed in The Waltons. I wrote to Mr. Hamner and told him of this and we began an email correspondence. Jut a lovely human being. An original and he will be missed. I still watch The Waltons. <3

I love the Waltons-- watched every episode through tears of empathy and joy-- and love Earl Hamner, have read his books, listened to his commentaries and interviews, love all of his work. They-- Will Geer, all the actors, writers and crews involved-- made the finest TV show there ever was. Would love to see a play at Will's theater. Treasures all. Thank you--

from David Steging: I loved Spencers Mountain, the Christmas Story and the Waltons. Loved the scenes of the Waltons reminded me of my grandparents in Beckville Texas The old country church reminds me of Mt Zion Church in Beckville Texas. Show about faith , family and hard work - could use that today in America.
