Flooded Yellow Line Platform at Berri-UQAM - Boarding on Terminal Platform!

Published 2020-06-26
Whilst transiting through on the metro yesterday (June 25th, 2020) towards the South Shore at Longueuil, I ran into a peculiar situation at Berri-UQAM. Earlier in the day, there had been some sort of water main break within the station, causing the passageway to the departure platform towards Longueuil, as well as the platform itself, to be flooded. This required the STM to have riders board on the arrival/terminal platform, and for the train to reverse and switch back to the other track upon departure. It was definitely a unique situation worthy of a short video, as it’s something I’ve never seen happen before.

That’s unbelievable. How on earth did the Berri-UQÀM boarding platform get flooded? Has regular boarding since resumed?
