I've seen this happen quite regularly in the peaks. One side is used to get everyone off, then the other side is opened to let people on. However, it's usually open doors on one side, pause until people are off, open doors on other side, close doors on first side, ensure everyone is onboard, close doors on second side.

Imagine being that one guy who's waiting on the left side to cross over to the other side lol
-
The next station is Stratford please mind the gap between the train and the platform. Change here for the jubilee line, the DLR, and national rail services

This happened to me at the same place when on a TFL Rail Class 315 Train to Liverpool Street via Stratford. But it wasn't opening but closing the doors of a Central Line 1992 Tube Stock formed of 8 coaches.

Imagine this in rush hour!

Happenes occasionally at Tanah Merah station in Singapore. However at Ang Mo Kio in Singapore, the doors are supposed to be operated like this as the train is a halfway terminating train and would return to Marina Bay
-
That can cause delays. A bit more than people trying to get in the train. It can cause delays and waste the time
-
They probably did this to avoid passengers using the train to go through from 3a to 3.

The drivers gone mad. He cant forgot to open both doors. He is the first person to see platflorms on both sides or maybe his is way to early in his schedule so he just open the right ones first then the left one next.
-
Maybe the driver forgot...
-
These something about the doors on the central line that makes me really like it for some reason
-
isn't it a bit terrifying that the train goes that fast?
-
Nice video 🙂

I think the driver departed in Coded Manual because you always have that sound before the traction motor comes in

The answer is quite simple. The Central Line train takes longer to get to Liverpool Street and longer to exit there but are much more frequent. What happens is that passengers wait for the Central Line but if they hear a main line train being announced as a Central Line train comes in they will charge through the Central Line train to to other train conflicting with those coming the other way.

That accelerates fast O_O
-
Laugh out loud I thought the train would leave when the doors closed
