Hephaestus captures all the pain of being an Artist of any kind "This one is gonna be so cool but..... ITS NOT FINISHED YET"

3:08 Funny reference. For those who don't know this net was used by Hephaestus to catch Aphrodite cheating on him with Ares.

I appreciate that the argument in the beginning wasn’t totally one-sided. It felt like they both legitimately had their feelings hurt, and were lashing out.
  • The way she flirts with everyone even after just breaking up and eavesdropping is so characteristic of her lol.
  • Hephaestus here: "Everyone has a talent, Aphrodite" The Real Heaphestus: "Where's is my HOOR wife?!"
  • @Spuuky
I’m the voice of Hephaestus! Thank you so much for your support everyone ❤️ 🔥
  • I love how they did Hephaestus’ animation, we looks like he is about to fall any minute due to his leg yet he radiates a feeling of someone who cannot be budged because of his kindness and good nature

As someone who’s dabbled in Greek mythology, I’m usually more fond of the idea of Aphrodite and Ares being together. After all, Ares was actually pretty tame compared to some of the other gods and Aphrodite’s marriage to Hephaestus wasn’t exactly her idea. However I can make an exception in this case. Why? Because these two have adorable chemistry and they spark with passion!
  • This is actually the only take on Aphrodite and Hephaestus I ever want from now on
  • It’s interesting to see this take on their relationship but I’m honestly just happy to see a kind and passionate Hephaestus. Understandably many renditions show him as a tired and unhappy workhorse of a character but I really enjoy the idea that he’s genuinely happy and enthusiastic making things for other people.

This is the level of quality of Disney's classic animation, which the company unfortunately forgot about. It's cool that there are people like you doing this kind of animation. I miss a cartoon of such a visual performance.
  • You know what makes me sad? That we all know where this is gonna go. We all know how this is gonna end. Yet I hope she really doesn't break Hephaestus heart in this. They seem like a wholesome couple in this.

Hephaestus is so cute, and I'm so happy to see him with a cane :') I feel like a lot of people forget he's disabled. I use a cane and it makes me feel seen

I really appreciate how there's clear implications that while both Ares and Aphrodite do/did like each other, they both contributed to the problems of their relationship, rather than just Ares being a one-sided jerk (bc that tends to go hand-in-hand with Aphrodite being shallow as she's only with him for his looks 😒). So, this portrayal is so refreshing and, I think, gives the characters a lot more depth.

Relationship in the myth: Aphrodite betrothed to Hephaestus and cheats all the time on him with Ares Relationship in this: Mutual respect, chemistry, and NO forced relationship. Hephaestus in real myth: crippled/deformed, emotionally distant Hephaestus in this: Generally good looking, caring, easy to fall for this show is a beautiful lie, and i like it.
  • Hephaestus is every artist ever- “You know. Not quite finished yet…”
  • I think its very telling how Aphrodite has her mascara ruined all throughout, and Hephestus still manages to make her smile. It shows that he sees past her beauty. Nice touch.

I hope this gets picked up by a huge animation studio. It’s on the same level of animation of monster high or even the Tangled series. I like how it’s directed in a sense that it’s young school gods but not school drama focused. It has a little something that makes it refreshing and unique.
  • At least Ares looked remorseful when Aphrodite ran off. And he wasn't wrong about Aphrodite craving attention. The only difference is she is desperate to be loved. And I'm glad that Hephaestus is nice to Aphrodite and tries to help her. If only he could muster the courage to confess his feelings.
