I'm one of those people you mentioned that cannot hike. I really enjoyed tagging along with you though! Another stellar job of filming and narration!

Love how you describe the areas you are in and point out specific spots. Allows us to research those areas to educate ourselves. Love the morning light on the mountain. Everyone should experience that at least once in their lifetime. Continue to be safe.

Amazing morning shot of Lassen...I actually gasped when your predawn pan found the peak. Thank you for sharing the simple details along with the awesome experiences.

Another outstanding video! You take some of us viewers places we may never see or experience. The scenery was beautiful and you explained everything perfectly. Thanks for sharing!

This is great. You have a wonderful way of describing your surroundings, giving us just enough context to really learn something and experience the adventure with you.

When I climbed cinder cone in 1980, that hole in the middle was at least 60 - 80 feet deep if not more and was only about 15' to 20' wide. It bottomed out on frozen lava that looked incredibly fresh. I don't know what happened in 18 years but when I climbed it again in 1998, it looked like your film. In 18 years it underwent more erosion than the previous 150 years of it's existence (it was first reported by people who were trekking out on the pioneer trail, whereas people trekking out in years before that said it didn't exist then. So it apparently showed up in the mid eighteen hundreds, which makes sense since there was a major Lassen eruption in the 1920's).

Man, that burnt area of the cinder cone would have made an amazing hammock camping spot! Would love hanging under the stars at night there!

Thousands of people visit Lassen Park every week from all over the country, that's why it's very well stocked... I live about an hrs away from that entrance so we frequent the park regularly
