It’s no coincidence that almost everyone who likes Scriabin truly loves Scriabin. I am currently still in this obsessive phase with his music; I’ve listened to everything one can find on the internet and adore all of it. He could orchestrate better than anyone and his piano work is up there with the masters like Chopin and Beethoven.

Props for taking on such a difficult composer... wow
  • Lol if Ravel is difficult to follow the style of, Scriabin is beyond next level! His style shifts and evolves so much through his life! This video is amazing!

I still remember seeing the first episode of your “how to sound like” series. It was a 5 min miniature with a handful of straightforward Chopin concepts. Now I am watching a documentary about Scriabin. The series has developed so much! keep up the good work!

I can't even imagine how much work went into this. Analysing, dissecting and then explaining it so we can understand it. Playing it. Then editing it.

That sounded like how my birthday went on 2020, overwhelmingly purple

I love this. You wrote some seriously great music in there too. Made it your own. ✨

I grew up as a jazz musician for 10 years, but when I heard Scriabin for the first time I immediately fell in love and learned pretty much everything in his repertoire. He influenced my decision to become a composer and eventually study at a conservatory (lifetimes ago..)
  • Bravo!!! Scriabin is possibly my favourite composer😀Great video on Scriabin’s style, personality, influences, and loved the happy birthday preludes👏; like it was subtly inserted into his music

So glad to see you're back, Nahre! Was just thinking about you a couple of hours ago, worrying that we hadn't seen any sign of life since the new year, but now the world is right again! :) Loved the "error message" sound when Bobby tried to eat one of the characters on the wall panel behind you - made me laugh :-D And watching you demonstrate and discuss the elements of your checklist was great! Thank you so much for yet another inspiring, entertaining and educational video! And happy new year!! :-)
