Someone should sue the city for all the poop 💩 on San Francisco sidewalks

I bet the landlord are happy to improve the buildings but would require tenants to move out. Then the tenants will protest out of fear of raising rents and potential eviction. and there goes the vicious cycle of SF's whacky rental laws

First govt says you cannot charge market value for rents. Then govt tells you if people don't want to pay rent you cannot evict. Then the city govt sues you for not taking care of the building. I am living in the twilight zone.

“The owners have been given warnings FOR YEARS”… looks like someone (government officials) have NOT done anything about this situation FOR YEARS 👊🏽 Just saying …

Wonder how much rent they are paying under San Francisco rent control after 30 years? Repair the building and property tax must be high too. Part of the reason there is no one want to rent their property is all these lawsuits.

The place looks clean. No one is forcing them to live there. The tenants can leave anytime without penalty; yet, they chose to stay because the low rent. Such a nightmare to be a landlord in a place like SF.

Tenants rights Advocates are probably going to help these tenants find a new home because they just lost that one

If they lived there for decades, they probably pay rent controlled $35 a month and are complaining LOL.

Homelss tents blocking side walks full of needles and human feces but, yes, this is where we draw the line? Seems this city attorney has his priorities straight

No one ever accused a liberal of having an inkling about how economics works.

how about posting the owners names , do some good reporting won't you ?
  • @rogerclark3
How much rent does she pay? She will win and be quietly evicted w/little to no assistance. The owners will rehab the bldgs and charge market rents... 😢

That building on the corner is ready to collapse, look at the sagging over the southern roll-up door!

Rent is probably $200. And replacing a facet is much more. Time to evict.

Well maintained buildings cost money. Our high-quality journalists here have neglected to state how low the rent is. After 30 years of rent control, the rent is probably so low that most viewers wouldn't feel sorry for these people if this detail was mentioned.
