A few months ago, the crew was asked to help with some pigeon control and decided to make a day of it! Unfortunately, the team didn't have too much time but managed to collect plenty of pigeons & make a damn good meal of it.

I like to take a 120 yo English gun into the field because it fits me so well, but also because it becomes a conversation piece. I load 2.5" BP shells for it and my friends used to be amazed that my birds were just as dead on the wing as theirs, but I was on target a lot faster. The only problem is that the meat occasionally has a few streaks of charcoal. Adds a certain crunchy texture to the meals. It probably wouldn't be an issue with a muzzle-loader, but such is life.
  • Great video as always. Just keep in mind that blood is the worst thing for barrels bluing. Keep your hands clean before continuing shooting 👍

I have a question to throughout there if you don't mind for someone on a fixed budget. Suppose you could only own one over and under. But you needed one that you could hunt with and shoot sporting clays. Is it best to buy a hunting gun for both or a sporting gun for both? Which would allow you to shoot the best at either sport? Thanks
