Also the Deadpool in the comics knew that the reality he lives in is a comic reality and that nothing he does has actual consequences.

I think Deadpool knows he's Ryan Reynolds. Ryan jumps into the Marvel Univese and becomes Deadpool. When he breaks the forth wall, he knows he's talking to the audience. The end credits of Deadpool 2, he shoots X-men Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds holding the Green Lantern script.

The poor guy called Trevor who got a heart attack when he said “hi Trevor”
  • @BatAmerica
In other words, he is the best TVA agent recruit and their worst nightmare.
  • Shockingly Gwenpool has the best explanation for how the “real world” works in Marvel/the MCU, and its correlation with the actual universe and somewhat explains why Deadpool can and does break the 4th wall.
  • @wolfatron3980
Ok, the inhibitor thing for breaking the 4th wall doesn't really make sense considering in the second Deadpool movie he's forced into an inhibitor, his healing factor is nullified and his cancer starts killing him, but it doesn't stop his 4th wall breaking abilities
  • @Riskway
"I can see you Trevor" Me (Trevor): Internally screaming
  • @omerahmed4066
1:59 funnily enough, in the hindi version of the first trailer, the line "Your little cinematic universe is about to change forever" was changed to "The good days of marvel movies are back"
  • 0:22 Okay, now there’s some guy named Trevor out there that’s mortified and confused. Poor him.
  • @snarffles5687
Ultron killed everyone in his What if… universe, and once it was finally, truly quiet, he gained access to a higher plane of cognitive awareness and could see and hear the Watcher.
  • In the comics it's explains that Deadpool and other characters that can break the fourth wall can see other earths and our universe exists in the Marvel multiverse as the universe where superheroes don't actually exist, and since they can see other earths, this means they can see us and they know that they don't exist
  • @PerovNigma
I was half-expecting him to say "That's just a simulation" at the end.
  • @SetoShadowVT
The funny bit is Deadpool and Madcap did eventually separate in the comics but Deadpool since still has the ability to break the fourth wall, it's possible his fourth wall breaking always existed(just dormant) and Madcap merely enhanced it since he's kept the fourth wall breaking
  • I just want to say as someone who’s been watching film theories since what feels like the beginning in the internet, and I was really scared to have the experience changes when Matt left. But you guys are doing great I really enjoyed this episode
  • @Pedro_Marangon
The inhibitor part is kinda misleading to people that didn't watch She-Hulk. The thing about inhibitor is that a in the previous episode, Jen ended it up making a big Hulk damage in an event and she did got out free, but was prohibited of using her Hulk powers (that's why she was using an inhibitor, so she wouldn't turn into She-Hulk), and not that "every character has an inhibitor that blocks them from breaking the 4th wall"
  • @jackweaver3903
Another thing with him only being able to break the fourth wall as a result of his powers, in the second movie when he temporarily doesn’t have them because of the collar he doesn’t say anything to the camera even though he thinks he is gonna die, and then the second the collar comes off he says, “that’s lazy writing”
  • @allanbaker3958
If this surprises you that "Deadpool is aware beyond the 4th wall", you didn't know Deadpool. HE'S ALWAYS BEEN AWARE. That's his real superpower.
  • Moment of silence for every Trevor out there getting jumpscared by their name at 0:28
