It took me 13 years and several attempts to try to get inside of this house, in my former hometown of Ocklawaha. Yesterday, was the day it finally went down! Thanks for joining me for this long awaited tour! I didn’t feel the need to edit down the footage as much as I normally do, because this video is very important to me. Thanks for always joining and watching, everyone!

They also had a home in Minnesota. We owned a bar that had a tunnel during the bootleg days. Story was the Barkers and John Dillinger used those tunnels to get away also. The gas station down the street was a hang out for Al Kapone, Dillinger etc. Th3 tunnels went down to the bluffs toward the Mississippi.

Amazing the house has remained so intact despite all the renters it had over the years.

My sister and brother in law own a lake cottage a few properties over from the original location. We walked the property and got onto the front porch and peered in the windows. This was September 2016, right before they moved the house. Glad you got to see the house Jay!
  • Not the same bead. check out the slats in the head frame. There are 7 in the current frame and only 4 in the old photo. Also the guide stated that there was originally only a single bed in that room. What is amazing is that the bullet ridden chair was kept by the new occupants and survived all these years. Great Job !!!
  • Ma Barker was a friend of our families great, great grandmother. They had amazing photos & stories of her!

It's amazing this house is still standing. What an amazing story!! I love old houses and history! I would love to do a lights out Ghost hunt, even for just an hour or two. Just sit and listen. Thanks for this tour Jay!! It was amazing. Cheers from Pensacola Fl.

Tampa Jay, I have enjoyed all of your videos . However, this is the coolest yet . I have lived my entire life about 45 miles away from that location I was born in 1966 . I would have never known this part of history had you not enlightened me. Excellent job my friend. Much worth your wait.👍

  • Hi 👋. The first time I saw this house, it was in it's original spot. Patty from the g team filmed it, from the house to the boat dock. Nobody was allowed in at the time. Pretty cool to he able to tour the interior. thank you so much

Can’t wait to watch this, I know how much this one meant to you! So proud of you!!!💕
  • Wow! Firstly....thank you for sharing your experience Jay. That was absolutely, with-out-a-doubt really interesting and informative. I can imagine as an observer, how awesome it was to be on location( well, relocated). Also! It's amazing how much the Tour Guide knew and retained all the information. Pretty rad! It's also amazing how all the mirrors were intact, and NOT destroyed during the long shootout. Miraculously. Again, thank you for sharing your experience. 🤘🏻🎃
  • Thank you for sharing this video. I didn't even know about this place. Very interesting story 🤔 👌 👍

When my son was ages 2-10 in the 1990's we lived in Silver Springs Shores and went to Lake Weir and Ocklawaha fairly often. When he was really little my son called it "Oaklawahaha"! Thanks for sharing!
  • @TheCoolTube
I'm glad you documented the entire talk given before you entered the house.
  • I've watched a lot of these about different people and this is the BEST one I've seen!
