...But what are you thoughts now that we've seen more from The Wild Robot Official Tra

Now you too have seen more of The Wild Robot... what do YOU think?
-
One of the main plot points of the books was that the robot slowly learns to speak with animals by silently observing them, a silent protagonist would be good but it would lose too much of the source material
-
The animals talk because it happens in the book. Roz learned how to communicate with the animals on the island, so they were translated into English so the reader (or viewer, now) can understand what was happening.
-
The thing is the animals aren't magically talking, ROZ is built to adapt, so she did, and learned their language. In the book this happened over a span of several chapters.
-
I still can’t believe all of you thought this would’ve been a “silent movie”. Maybe if you looked more into the movie’s production, you would know. Cuz they basically tell you that the animals are gonna talk. But oh well. That’s not gonna stop me from seeing this movie, if anything, it makes me wanna see it more!
-
I can tell who hasn't read the books based on the complaints about the animals talking lol. They talk in the books and it's an important part of the story. Roz, the main robot, observes and listens to the animals' sounds and "language" and starts to understand it while she is learning how to survive on the island. She then starts to be able to understand them and learns to communicate with them. The voice actors are voicing the animals that she interacts with.
-
It's really bugging me how y'all keep saying that you expected this to be a silent movie. THE FIRST TRAILER LITERALLY HAD A FUDGING CAST LIST!!! Pedro Pascal, Mark Hamill, Catherine O'Hara, the list goes on! What'd you think they had them there for? Moral support??
-
he completely ignored the part where the robot says "processing language"
-
I really wish people would atleast do a little bit of research. The animals talked in the book, the movie is faithful to the source material.
-
Kung Fu Panda 4 was a financial hit for DreamWorks, but that was a sequel. Hopefully The Wild Robot does well and wake up interest in the audience. DreamWorks really needs it
-
it looks beautiful. i’m optimistic
-
Why do you title these videos with the word concern when the thumbnail says complaint, you're throwing me off. Edit: My boi changed the title and thumbnail to make me sound crazy 💀

Heres a (slightly abridged) exerpt from the book “It started with the birds. They had always been skittish when the robot was near. They would stare and screech and then scatter. But now that Roz was camouflaged, she could secretly observe their normal behavior, right up close.” “Roz knew what each bird would sing, and when they would sing, and eventually, why they would sing. The robot was beginning to understand the birds. But she was also beginning to understand the porcupines and the salamanders and the beetles. She discovered that all the different animals shared one common language; they just spoke the language in different ways. You might say each species spoke with its own unique accent.” Deer spoke mostly with their bodies. By simply turning her head, a doe could say to her family, "Let's look for clovers by the stream." Snakes often hissed to themselves, things like "I know there's a tasty mouse around here sssssomewhere." Bees said very little. They used their wings to buzz a few simple words, like nectar and sun and hive.”
-
"All the animals magically talk" did you miss the scene where Roz spends weeks learning their language? Anyways, nothing can dampen my excitement for this- I'm SO HYPE for this movie!!
-
I'm really excited for the film to be honest. I don't mind that there's dialogue and the people chosen to voice act is a thumbs up for me. I'll definitely check this out when it releases
-
Bro it’s apart of the Plot u saw it coming and I you’re not a fan of it so yeah, it’s gonna be that way in the beginning but throughout the middle it’s gonna be Like something like Wall E when they talk more And learn more loving words from each other Don’t be disappointed for something u didn’t fully get but something u got in a Animated developing feature but I agree on your opinion I was kinda disappointed but I still love it and maybe they should just add some effects on there Voices because how plain it sounds right now but besides that THIS WILL BE GREAT
-
It not robot vs nature, its robot and nature
-
The first half does not have any dialogue while the second half does lmao, if you've read the book you would know
-
Reminds me very much of Bastion's backstory from Overwatch, looking at this robot playing with the bird.
-
My concern with this is movie is not the movie itself, after this movie releases, DreamWorks will start outsourcing more of their animated movies often than in studio because they won’t be renewing any contracts with animators to work on future projects and also they been firing their employees a couple months ago
