My Color Ocs [speedbase]

Ok guys here's the personalities of the characters: Ruby (red) - is a tunsdere and secretly loves to sing, she gets EXTRA embarrassed when she gets complimented, and she's a brave character that's never back down on a competition. And a hot-headed and also stubborn Auburn (orange) - is a sweet and dense character. She's also very friendly to others. She's really good at acting and wants to become an actor someday Amber (yellow) - is a smart and very sweet character. She is very skilled at cooking. She is very out-going. And she loves to read in her free time Jade (green) - is a very rude and lazy character. She loves to sits on the couch all day and watch tv or play video games. She loves leaving mess anywhere around with makes Amber annoyed of her sometimes. She loves playing the bass guitar

This video is soooo nostalgic to me, because when i was like 9 or 10 y/o i used to watch this video a lot in my dad's phone whenever i could. I had some type of obsetion with watching speedpaints as a kid, so finding this video got me crying. The ocs' desing its so cool, later the final drawing looks so great even 5 years later!

This video was actually one of the main reasons I started art to begin with, I watched this video when I was like 10 years old and decided to use this base in MSPaint to make my own characters.. 7 years later, I’m using those characters to make a webcomic, and pursuing character design as a career! Thank you for inspiring me <3

People don't get the point of bases.. - they can be used for beginners who don't fully understand the human body - they don't have the time to draw out the full body AND line it -it can teach you how bodies work if you use them oftenly Now can u guys shut up?

I think you did a fantastic job on this! I would be really interested in seeing this done without the base, especially considering how far your art style has come. Wonderful job with the hair and general style too; I can tell so much about them just based on their facial expressions, clothing, etc.! You are very skilled at being expressive in your art, and watching your most recent creations really shows that, and it even really comes out here. Also, I must say, you really show that MSpaint can be used well! There is a lot of stigma against it considering how tempting it is to some to just use the circle, box, and line tools, but it is made clear by your art that it can be used to create really well-made pieces if used correctly. Overall fantastic job!
