I can tell their father and son bond was very tight. I can’t imagine the pain Eddie went through when Gerald died and then his other son Sean died over a year later. R.I.P. Gerald and Sean Levert 🙏🏾

I was on my way to work at the nursing home where I was a social worker when KPRS 103.3 Historically owned Black radio station announced Gerald LaVert died. There was no time to process it. The tears just rolled down my face. I's the youngest of 4. and played music all the time at home. My sister especially loved the Mighty O'Jays. And Gerald had that robust Man voice just like his Dad. And his songs often gave us a glimpse at his sincere vulnerability.
