Is it just me that feels that Sierra is something really special that only comes around once every few decades

I think this lady has one of the best pure voices in country music around today. She’s also surrounded herself with really fantastic musicians as backup. 👍👍🇨🇦

THIS IS REAL COUNTRY MUSIC. Roots in bluegrass. The kind that people who never listen to modern country are looking for!! Love her
  • Audio engineer really nailed it here. Vocals forward with the instruments balanced nicely into the mix. I love Sierra Ferrell.
  • tears are streaming. her sound is gorgeous. it's like finding something you've been looking for too damn long. she's going to be huge
  • My 86 year old mom would be dubbed a "jazz snob". I listened to Miss Ella, Chet Baker, Miss Billie, Ahmed Jamal in the playpen. Mind you she can't see well but she can hear, and I've been playing Sierra around the house. She outright said "Stop! Who is that? She's got IT! The gift that can't be taught". The other day I caught her singing this tune in her hospital bed.😊 Sierra is magic. Philly shows sold out, but we'll keep listening here up North. 😊

Huge shout out to whoever is doing the sound for this video. It is excellent!

Sierra satisfies the thirst for an old form of country music that so many listners suffer from. Congrats to Rounder Records on their match made in heaven!

This performance is firing on all cylinders. They should record an album with this sound guy.

Okay she’s not a concert violinist but if you only knew how difficult it is to play a melody while singing - your ear is supposed to be occupied ensuring you’re playing in tune, so singing really throws that off. And she nails it
  • When I tell you I’ve never seen someone’s voice make an audience fall silent so fast. To say she is captivating is an understatement.

She has that appalachian sound that's been missing for years

I thought, "Is it true!? A new Sierra session?" Thank God it is. I can't help but be brought to tears at times by this woman. Perfect melodies, haunting stories. As an Appalachian boy, she touches my soul in ways I can't put in words.

The mandolin on Garden was especially sweet. The old church setting is somehow perfect. For an angel.

Why am I crying? Lmfao, I don’t listen to country but she just touches something inside me.

Very nice! Whoever recorded and mixed this “gets” Sierra (at last). The sound is fantastic and her voice sounds better than ever.

As a fellow West Virginia Ex-Pat (born and raised, for 21 years, now living in NC), I'm thrilled that the Mountain State is turning out talented musical performers like Sierra. The reasons she left WV might be sad--and many of us left for the same reasons--but it's great to know she is positive, finding success, and a shining, rising star in the musical world!
