Forgot to mention that Roblox already knew about this kind of exploit since 2016, but what did they do? Nothing... NOTE: Somewhere in this documentary for some reason my editing program duplicated one of the text bars to show an information 2 times

Ah yes, an incident i completely missed due to my inactivity. I’m proud of myself.
  • @ssn0wfallx
but imagine being 7 years old and getting banned for child endangerment. and you don’t even know what happened.
  • @Oofnoob607
That poor little kid. He was just tryna have fun streaming on Roblox and people just want him to play the game that gets him banned and they ended up laughing at him
  • @imjeff8660
For clarification, Popbob actually comes from 2b2t, the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft. They were the the biggest griefer at his height, even gaining access to server Admin Commands which allowed him to have full control over 2b2t. He was an extremely talented coder, creating numerous plug-ins for Housmaster, the owner of 2b2t. I don't know if this guy is Popbob himself, or just a simple wannabe, but I just wanted to leave that out there so people know where the name comes from.

Man, this honestly sucks so much, like imagine being an innocent kid playing Roblox and then getting your account banned unfairly, especially if you spent a lot of money on your account. It makes me so mad at both Roblox and the hackers behind this, Roblox knew this was a possiblity but did nothing to try and stop it other than warn people not to do this and the hackers got so many innocent accounts banned (a lot of them also likely put money into their account). And the fact some people tried to lure other players into this trap makes it even worse. This is easily the worst incident to have happened on this site besides the April fool's 2012 hacking. Roblox seriously needs to step up their moderation and stop being driven by greed.
  • This is completely the fault of Roblox and they need to apologize. A multi billion dollar company can’t be this lazy. EDIT: And like most of the comments i started a fight.
  • @MothWhiskers
I think the "switching from abusing an exploit" to "exposing roblox moderation" is like the bungie copyright takedowns incident all over again. You are not protecting yourself by switching. You aren't a "freedom fighter" or a hero, you are doing something shitty in order to "prove and expose" a point that has been proven multiple times before. I find it dumb how people can think this will make people get on their side, but hey, obvious mentality of the children that did this
  • @cx3622
5:27 he didn't say the game will have a "better trust", he just said "trust" as in "trust me"
  • @YouBlox-rd9cc
You should have included the screenshots of the hacker’s bans. Some of them got ip banned and one got terminated threatening legal action if they bypass the ban. Instead of the appeal link the bottom said, “you are ineligible to appeal”.
  • I actually got in the exploiter’s discord, and dang they were pure evil, me and a guy with a mao pfp took it upon ourselves to spam ping the server until we got banned, and we actually managed to convince people to join us or leave, our efforts were not in vain
  • @CoolGeox
6:42 "Ohh, it's a troll thing... Okay ! Oh-" this moment was sad as hell dude
  • @funisinfinite.
Huge amount of respect to you for making such a great documentary on this situation. Roblox honestly needs to step up their moderation. A platform with mainly vulnerable and gullible children being this lazy and unsafe is scandalous. And if it's true that it's been around since 2016, and Roblox had not batted an eye while KNOWING that there are several hackers who will take advantage of any exploit or issue in the system is upsetting. I just hope that children were able to steer clear of this fate.
  • @tsunekune5753
This whole Crosswoods situation is honestly a mess since the exploiters' "game" has caused accounts who interacted with it be falsely banned plus encouraging others to spam the link to the point the kid was crying on stream and that ROBLOX have known about this exploit since 2016, did nothing about it, still didn't respond to it, then handled it when everyone was making headlines about the "game". It's funny that Synttax had switched the direction of the exploit because it makes you think if he did that due to him being in hot water. My theory is that the exploit was intentionally made to falsely ban users for the kick of it but when ROBLOX got their heads outta the sand and banned the game/people behind it, he had to change the purpose in order to look good in front of the Roblox community.
  • @zeddikusss
5:32 im pretty sure he "meant" that the game would be better, 'trust' is a term used short for trust me.
  • @cevesik9208
To be honest, i have to admit, the concept of both scripts are genius ideas. Not in a good type of way, but it goes to show how you can really take advantage of whatever kind of knowledge you have(scripting) and use it against people for your own gain. It sounds scary too. I actually just heard about this incident a few days ago and I had no clue what it was when it first started happening.
  • @Birbzz
This guy’s videos are better than my school’s documentaries I swear. And, jokes aside, this is really well-made and informative. Keep up the good work!
  • Ya know how Roblox knew this kind of thing could happen for a while, but did nothing? They can actually get sued for refusing to fix something like that.
  • @poweradereal
2:40 aint no way in hell that infamous 2b2t griefer popbob is behind this
  • This literally feels like a true crime documentary...this was pretty well made and quite informative as well!
