Tutorials and walkthroughs don't always show a synth off to its best.. so here's me messing around with some lovely big sounding patch ideas, using the Deadmau5 midi files available from SPLICE

… I keep coming back to this video… these are insanely addictive sounds / patches and arp sequences ❤️

This synth just sounds amazing in the right hands. It's a steal for what theyre asking for it.
  • Deadmaus’ arpeggiated progression is great, but your patch and the way you modulate it gives the tune urgency and takes me on a journey. Gets better every time I listen. ❤️

I have a vision of an unkempt, unshaven, dishevelled Starsky emerging from his B2600 bunker in a years time with a grin that makes the Joker jealous 😂👍👍
  • @EdEditz
Behringer hit the ball straight out of the park with this one. I'm so glad I have one and can follow along :)
  • Brilliant demo', well done.. I am really happy you got this one. The sounds that you are making, brings back a lot of memories to me... for certain reasons. Have a great week, stay safe out there. Cheers.
  • The 2600 is an amazing audio work surface. It’s more about playing the synth than playing the keyboard. It was built for Arps, bass and lead and then the cooler stuff for patch kids.

I ALWAYS enjoy your videos. I appreciate your straight forwardness, light heartedness, and still refer back to all your video tutorials on newer synths I have purchased in recent years. Thank you for ALL you do! (This is QUITE nice!!)
  • @XFattMonsterX
HUGE and lovely sounds, I can't wait for mine to arrive! Thanks for the lessons!
  • @tubemoog
Bravo. Part of making such great patches is really knowing and understanding the instrument

This makes me want one of these things more than any other demo I've seen. Just wonderful <3

Starsky, absolute belter of a 2600 demo. Loved it. Like others, your videos help us at SOUND7 inform much of our synth purchases. These clones are nailing it. Keep going!

This video is in my bookmarks since 1 year. I think i watch it every 2 months. The 3 first minutes are awesome.
  • @thedonal
Some great sounds here dude. This is about at the top of my "when I can afford it" list! :D
  • @nigelh2
Thank you for this video demo. It has shown me what a powerful and beautiful sounding synth this really is.
  • Mine should arrive today. I’m so excited!!! I love your video; I’ve watched it several times already.
  • The cool thing is that one of the original desingers of that original machine was also working on that behringer clone.
  • @christdolphin69
that big arpeggio patch is fucking gorgeous. incredible work here, by far the best behringer arp2600 demo out there. thank you for this
  • @gneissguy4342
Hell yeah!!!! I've been looking so forward to this vid!! Sounds incredible, the beginning could have been on an Orbital album or something!! Amazing, thanks for posting!!

Just over a year ago and being a bedroom guitarist for many years I stumbled upon one of your synth reviews and while not starting me on my synth interest it definitely accelerated me down the rabbit hole of which I happily fell, so now having a better understanding of how subtractive synth work it makes watching this so much more enjoyable and impressive. Knowing now how the sound is being produced ie filter envelopes cut off resonance lfos etc make it even more enjoyable .. long may you continue.. 👏👍
