EVERY new rocket technology has had issues. Nothing but applause for Relativity. Just one more problem to solve, and they will be on the way to usefulness, and profitability.

2nd stage did try and ignite, but it was doing a lot of gimballing prior (second stage tumbling?) and during ignition. Maybe shutdown quite quick due to uncontrollably. Would have been interested to have seen this during daylight, so we could have seen it tumbling!

Engine startup sound was seriously awesome. I think I stopped breathing for a few seconds.

I understand that 3D printing is all trendy and stuff, but the last thing you need to 3D print is a big metal tube.

Looks like it lit but was popping or fluctuating and then snuffed out. Combustion instability perhaps. At least they proved it would survive through max-q. That's a big step. Staging and airlighting the upper stage is hard but not insurmountable. Big step closer than they were.

Hearing the girls "Wooooowoooo!!!" made me feel I was watching some Spring Break at Daytona Beach , rather than watching the launch of a rocket into space. I was waiting for her to tell me to go to her Etsy page. Ughhhh!!!! I guess the age of honor, pride, and professionalism died with the Apollo program. Gene Kranz actually DRESSED UP, with a new vest at every launch! And the KIDS in "mission control" and calling out the flight, might as well been wearing bikinis or pajama pants. Have some pride, people!
