This song has long been part of my solo sets...I usually scan the room when I sing that first "take my life, take my land" line & see whose ears perk up. As you know, this was the theme song to the tragically abridged Fox Series "Firefly." Written by show creator Joss Whedon himself and originally sung much better by Sonny Rhodes.
