Today as you can see we will be attempting to conquer the Goliath of all Hedges. This bad boy is about 15 foot high from what I can tell and it has completely taken over this yard. As you heard the homeowner has gone through a series of unfortunate events lately including his truck blowing up so we are glad to step in and take this burden off of his back before the city gets involved and he has more problems on his hands. So we will start today by first cleaning up the trash that people have thrown into this area, we will then start from the right side trimming the outside of the hedge and then move to the inside of the hedge taking it section by section until we work our all the way around.

  • You are helping people which is very kind but what you are teaching your children is incredible.
  • They came, they saw, they conquered that humongous hedge. God bless the Blessing Boys!

Hedge trimming is exhausting on the shoulder muscles. Great job. Your boys are wonderful.

Justin, you and your boys as usual appear to be doing a heck of a job. One of the nice things you do for your viewers is give them a running statement of how things are going so that they can follow your progress.

Justin I am so proud of you+your 3 sons, you all did a wonderful thing for those people!

I have learned a lot from watching you. I'm in my late 60s and I have a couple acres and a apple orchard and neck problems. After seeing the battery pruners I bought one, I can get after those trees. I also bought one of those hedgers on a pole, but as soon as I felt the weight I knew it was to much, but while packing it to go back my neighbor saw it and bought it. You help people more ways than you know. Thanks
  • How fantastic that you are getting your children involved. No sitting at home on social media all day, fresh air and stimulation. Your kids are going to grow up healthy and decent. 👍👍👍👍
  • I love the enthusiasm your boys have! You have raised some amazing children! Great job Mom and Dad!

Man, my shoulders are sore just watching. That is a lot of work. Great job guys !

With your severe pruning, that bush will become much more healthy. Next time it gets trimmed, they should be able to remove the dead parts, as the healthy areas will fill it in. Some people hear severe pruning and gasp. Well, the bush or tree does exactly that. It's able to grow the way it was intended. 😊❤ Great job!

Give those boys a hug for me. They are truly our future and they are already stepping up to the plate at such a young age. Way to go guys! A very warm hug to you all from A very senior widow in Manitoba.

Yes, If a butcher shrub is not continually trimmed so that the new growth is held within the shape that the hedge is being trimmed to, there will be open spaces that would occur naturally in the growth of the bush when it's allowed to do its own thing.
