  • Interesting system you have put there. I do wonder if the car now deliberately loses power to cool itself when the temperature increases, how does this impact the cars ability to accelerate especially on the highway when one may want to overtake. Does this system not put the driver at risk of not overtaking quickly enough if the cooling system kicks in at that point???

Is this problem only on cars from Japan the second hand ones, what about the new generation 2020- 2023 models from South Africa do they get affected also
  • How do I learn to build or tune cars in zimbabwe? Want to work on sleepers, please make a video on that
  • What really causes specifically the sky-active motor to overheat so easily besides antifreeze factors? Does it mean that mazda failed to engineer their cooling system or what?
  • The Mazda axela 2015-18 has the same sky active engine. It also doesn't have a water temp gauge. Mine was a hybrid and that car gave me chills, I sold it very fast before the battery or cooling system started giving me issues.

Hellow DPF team, on your video you just insist that we should use coolant and damp it right away, the question these car came with their own coolant type which is FL22. Then what will be the compatible coolant that will be matching the FL22, especially for the owner's around in Africa?

Is this issue also common other Mazdas like the CX3 and Atenza?

Ok im to put in an oem coolajt sensir had my gead skimmed oressure tested but dont hear fans kicking in so ill get this oem sensor in car and hooe it helps fans kick in . Ive tested fans with 12v and they work
  • In my country, by passing the fans to continue spinning and removing the thermostat kinda helps that way the coolant will be as cool as possible for the engine.
  • @Gapeach1970
I just bought 23 CX5 and have taken to have thermostat issue fixed..whats next
  • My 2021 turbo cx5 has a temperature gauge...so did my 2018 non turbo cx5. I've been all over with videos for this vehicle.never seen any type of cooling issue. Is this mainly Zimbabwe cx5s?

I also have the same problem, until now I don't understand what to do to end the problem

Looks like the solution goes beyond the problem. The issue here is low coolant levels resulting in overheating. An aftermarket coolant level indicator would work just fine. Most older cars used to have them. Otherwise you really cannot help a person who cannot understand that checking coolant levels every weekend or so will save them a new engine.

I have the same car, from 2016 diesel with DPF a I don't have this issue. You should find the root cause, maybe the coolant valve or you have the carbon build up in the intake...
