Ironically, Peter Hitchens succeeded at proving that you can have a complete mental health breakdown WITHOUT marijuana.

"1 minute would've been too long to talk about drugs." - a man who wrote a book concerning drug use
  • @Ravespillo
As an American, hearing someone congratulate themselves on their self-restraint for not having sworn at Alex, while simultaneously having a full-on tantrum as if they were a 3-year-old, is the most British thing I've ever heard.
  • @vkl47
I've never seen someone take so long to storm out of a room
  • @finnrothery2928
Imagine this grown man who, instead of saying “Sorry, Alex, can we move onto a different topic”, decides to have a full on tantrum 😂
  • "i actively dislike you" is just a more sophisticated way of saying "you live rent free in my head"
  • I think the reason Peter stuck around for that long after he got up is that he quickly realised what a terrible mistake he’d made and how bad this would look, but was simultaneously too prideful to sit back down and apologise. So instead, he stuck around as if he was trying to provoke a fight or at least get Alex to swear or audibly tell him to leave so that he could have the excuse. What a pathetic display.

Imagine writing a whole book about how you support a war on drugs, being invited to talk about drugs, and then getting mad about being asked about drugs.
  • @harlequin-grim
This meltdown could have been avoided by a single: "Alex, I think I've grown a bit tired of this topic, would you mind if we moved on?" This just goes to show you it doesn't matter how intelligent or well-educated you are, if you don't know how to check your ego, you'll still find yourself behaving like a child every now and then.

The real 'Hitch' would be laughing at this abysmal display of his brother.

    A. He started off in a bad mood B. He had some kind of bias and preconceived notions he projected onto you C. He's easily irritated/frustrated D. He is unkind, unfair, and impatient in his debating style Conclusion: unprofessional and hard to get along with
  • @tripkev6522
Imagine he’d gotten Hitchens to sit back down after 20 minutes of arguing. “So… God. … Do you think he’d have decriminalised drugs?”
  • "You're obsessed with drugs." -Guy who wrote a book about drugs. "I think you've behaved disgracefully." -Guy off screen because he stormed out after insulting the host.

Peter Hitchens: 'I talked to lawmakers and they didn't listen to me. Therefore, lawmakers cannot listen, and none of the fault for me failing to get my way is mine.'
  • Never seen a man who could use a joint quite like this gentleman.
  • I like Peter's strategy of waiting until the EXACT moment Alex starts speaking to talk over him
  • Peter's problem is that he believes once he's explained his side of the argument you have to agree with him.
  • @melvinzackheim
poor Peter, it must be very difficult to be morally superior to everyone else on the planet.
