During our how far is 22 deadly video a fan commented and stated that us having troubles hitting the target at 500 were ridiculous and that he regularly shot soda cans at 710 yards with a Ruger 10/22 using Winchester 22lr ammunition. This seemed like an insane claim so we invited him to prove it.

    -The Ballad of .22 Man

Fellows, do gather and bend me an ear
    Hearken this legend that happened quite near;

In the Idaho hills, as Winter expired
'Twas first told to Michael, a warrior retired

From the lips of a Hero, this legend was told
And never heard Michael a claim quite so bold

Of nerve, and of skill, and small metal can
That attracted the wrath of this sharp-sighted man

As he gazed from his porch, just outside his front door,
    He noted the yardage, "Thirty-five-and-half-score."

Then to arms did he go, as all good heroes do
His hands, they were steady, his aim, it was true

Though his weapon was small, some say almost a toy
He chuckled, "Perhaps... In the hands of a boy."

He pointed, calling out to his quivering foe,
"You've awakened my wrath, and down you shall go!"

Then swiftly and smartly, he pointed his gun,
On account of the range, somewhere close to the sun

He fired his shot, it rang out like a bell
And he knew that he'd punched his foe's ticket to Hell

To the maidens he turned, with a smile and a wink,
Then four seconds later... a small metal TINK!

And so ends the tale of that dastardly can
And so goes the legend... of .22 Man

I’ve never wanted someone to succeed in their “hold my beer” moment this much in my entire life.
  • @TexasPlinking
He knew he never had a chance, he just finessed his way to have a range day with GT 😂
  • This guy is totally legit. I'd put my life on it. He's old, somewhere he's never been, with strong wind conditions, but he was still nailing it so close. The fact he even showed up proves his legitimacy to me
  • @AndreasStom
100% he did it. Imagine a warm summer evening, sun is just setting. There is absolutely no wind, this guy could do it.
  • @Briggattonii
Respect this guy. He talked shit and committed to it, he’s a rare breed online.
  • @kylemoua
The fact that he got within 10’ with iron sights on a gusty day at 710 is impressive in itself. I’m smiling ear to ear. I’ve never wanted to see someone hit a shot so bad in my life. We need more positivity in our community. LFG
  • @V12Maniac
from how close this man was from just his first shot with iron sights, this man was 100% telling the truth. He not only showed up, but did his 100% best to hit that can. And considering from my understanding is that he was a lot younger and as he said entirely different environment. This man can 100% hit that can at that distance. MASSIVE respect to this man. Bring him on more
  • @MrInstinctGamer
Bro NAILED it with the scope, he defintely used to make that 710 shot no question, the muscle memory and familiarity is what set him up, that alone at his age got him reaaaaaaalllly close and consistent on iron sights.
  • @DrSludge
Follow up video idea: go to his home range where he claims to have made the shot, let him make the shot, and then look on a rangefinder and see how many yards the cans are truly at
  • @marlonbrando2698
As a native dude, my radar was going off for this guy. He’s got it in his bones for sure.
  • @timg7627
He was surprisingly close with iron sights at 710. Respect to this man
  • @RangerDaddy
While in the Army, I had some buddies who would tell stories I thought were total BS. Later, as I got to really know these guys, I found out they could actually do things I thought impossible. Never doubt the impossible. Question, but never doubt.
  • I admire his peace/humbleness and how gentle he is with the firearms I can tell he is a good guy. Blessed day for all of them
  • Considering how close he got at 710, I believe he did it when he was younger. That was absolutely wild.
  • We can’t just skip over how close 22 man was to actually smacking the cans with only irons.
  • @AkuraTheAwesome
Using that beautiful cover of Ave Maria for the dramatic shot was really nice.

I see you editor, and I like your music choice.
