If you install the turbine lower inside that tube you will generate more power. I am a civil engineer working in the hydropower sector and I absolutely approve of this. Hats off to you sir.

I was born in the early 80's, so I grew up in the last American generation prior to the advent of the cell phone or internet. We lived in the country and had a small creek in the backyard. We'd build all kinds of things into that stream over the years. That was a regular hangout spot after school for years with our friends. If we'd have had access to this vid, we'd have built at least one!!

Had a friend in the late 70s do a very simplified version of this. He set up a paddlewheel/generator/battery system on the creek that ran through his property. He also built a small cottage/bunkhouse and powered all the necessary utilities with with the set up. It was pretty ingenious, but this is as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. Brilliant.
