Am I unique in thinking calling the head cook in a mass dining facility a chief is more than a little presumptuous? I worked for a little while up in the faculty and religious dining room upstairs in the south dining hall. Those "cooks" made much better meals, because they got better ingredients, and paid much better attention to how they were cooked. I never considered them chiefs. I'm happy with good cooks making the food I eat.
