This movie is an all-time classic. It's awesome. We love it. None of that means we won't still count sins for giggles. Have a nice day.

Thursday: sinning a big '80s movie.

Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

7:17 So when Mia snorts the Heroin, she thinks that it's coke because of the container it was in. Coke is known to come in a baggie. Heroine is known to come in to balloons for this reason. When the dealer says "I'm out of balloons, is a baggie okay?", that is something that he needed to clarify with Vincent because that is how people differentiate coke and heroin they look very identical in powder form. With Mia not knowing this, she OD'd. It took me years to realize this and is one of the greatest attentions to detail I've ever seen...Blows my mind till this day. I'm requesting 3 sins off.

cinemasins: everything wrong with pulp fi- me: I DONT REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GODDAMN THING

The reason Vincent didn't hear Butch is because...well he did hear Butch. Marcellus lost a lot of money on Butches fight and wanted to cap him personally. When they found out Butch wasn't at his apartment they waited for him to come back, eventually they got hungry Marcellus left his Mac-10 in the apartment to go get donuts. Vincent had to use the bathroom, while in the bathroom he heard Butch come back, but he assumed it was Marcellus with the donuts. He walked out eager for a sugary snack but instead got blasted by the guy he was supposed to kill.
  • They did actually lose the contest. It's shown briefly in the news in the background that they had actually stolen the trophy. Not even I picked that up so I can't blame giving a sin for that
  • @bk-dt3on
the most accurate part is that you kept removing sins
  • @NewMessage
If you worked at a McDonald's when this came out, the biggest ding was having to hear every smartass ask for a 'Royale with cheese'.
  • You know a movie is great when you can remember the exact moment and circumstances when you saw it for the first time. I had a friend who lived in my apartment complex, his older brother showed me this movie and played the OutKast Aquemini album in the same night. I was never the same.
  • Vinces death is absolutely essential to the meaning of the movie. Gold watch sequence is so important the movie changes completely without it.

the scene with the overly long description of what she wants for breakfast is for hinting she's pregnant and has a large appetite
  • @AlexArnott
more than half of these "sins" is what makes this film so brilliant
  • @glndreamer
I agree that Jules says “Brad” and not “Brett” but I always assumed it was either Jules simply not caring enough to remember Brett’s name, or Jules intentionally screwing it up as if to say “I don’t care enough about you, nor are you important enough, for me to remember your name”
  • Totally dig that Marsellus let Butch go. He knew what Butch did to come back and that Butch was home free if he just left. Coming back was a purely selfless act that did nothing but create negatives for a guy who was a hated enemy. And saved his life. Marsellus got a heap of character exposition there by recognizing that and letting him leave (and Marsellus was saved from certain death several times in the last few minutes so hes probably just grateful it ended with him alive. Also there is NO doubt he had other things on his mind, all he wanted to do was concentrate on the horrible upcoming torture)

Seen this movie a million times and never noticed Vincent was walking to the bathroom in the first scene until now...
  • @HBICTiff
You know its a good ass movie when cinemasins apologizes for removing so many sins
  • @theren8311
The opening credits was necessary to detach you emotional from the opening scene. It was genius really. It essentially resets the viewer, and prepares them for the overall story "order"
  • @RabidNemo
17:16 I would say that the reason the wolf is so successful is that he's easily able to stay calm in a stressful situation. Whereas in most cases people can't see the obvious when they're freaking out
  • @wi4101
I'll never forgive you if you haven't removed a sin for "Oh man I shot Marvin in the face."
  • @FreshBro8
1 sin to Cinema Sins for not acknowledging that Steve Buscemi was the waiter who took Vincent’s and Mia’s order
  • @searom
11:10 Vincent though he had heard Marcellus entering. The next scene confirms that because Marcellus was carrying 2 cups of coffee before he was hit by Buch.
  • @DNHarris
Sin on Cinema Sins. The whole movie is about Butch's legacy, which is Butch surviving and passing on the birthright watch passed down to him.
