  • An absolute master piece. I live in apart of Asia where we don't have walnuts. But sure would like to have it like a decorative and functional piece of art to display.

Beautiful work. I would melt the chips down and make a casting of a walnut. A brass walnut to stand in for the real thing while the nutcracker sits on display.

Excellent idea. A helicoil for the upper threaded hole might be necessary in a year or two 😀

This nutcracker would be the ONLY reason for me to start eating nuts. (or opening them for the whole family 😅) Absolutely great job ! Totally impressive !
  • Nice nutcracker. Forge the chips back into a billet. Wouldn't require much heat. Good job.

It's functional AND a work of art! 😍 Frohe Weihnachten, Herr Doktor! 🎄

I am fascinated by your work and this time a little hypnotized by the lathe. 😁🤪

Hello mister you spend a lot of time but the finish product is amazing beautiful work professionally done
  • Oh, wow, gorgeous! It also works very well to break the shell while keeping the meat whole. That's perhaps not important when eating nuts out of hand, but it is for certain candy recipes.

This was definitely a very interesting and creative idea to make for a nutcracker! Well done! Now you have a more efficient gadget to crack nuts during the holidays! 👏👏👏
  • @SturleyArt
Beautiful work as always. Love how you cut the threads and used scotchbrite for that matt finish. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the brass shavings/chips.
  • @LadyLeigh
That is a superb creation. I love your videos! Can you try to obtain a small book press and restore it? I absolutely adore book presses.
  • @MCsCreations
Stunning piece, dude! Beautiful work!!! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊 And happy holidays!

Perfect work. I like it very much. Could you buy this super good nutcracker somewhere? You can still make tinsel out of the first one, i.e. the turning shavings. For a Christmas tree. Many thanks for this tutorial.
