It should be 7 fighting styles. You forgot about the forbidden combat technique: Being able to prevent his hairstyle from obeying the laws of physics no matter what move he uses.
  • I got to know the fighting style that Chris uses to punch a boulder

It's just funny how the mild-mannered rookie from Raccoon City turned U.S. super agent can mix-up his hand-to-hand combat with beautiful, precise taekwondo and knife-wielding martial arts, with fucking pro-rasslin' moves like throwing German suplexes, running bulldogs and curbstomping heads. It makes Dante's connection with him just much stronger.
  • @DTKennedy
Leon: I’ve learned several fighting styles through years of police academic and military training to become a member of the Secret Service...all garbage. But this, pro wrestling, I learned this when I was seven. Wrestlemania 3. It ain’t failed me yet.
  • Surely this proves that he's the only one capable of continuing the Redfield Lineage

Intentional or not, Taekwondo for Leon was a pretty good decision. A rookie police officer in a zombie apocalypse being constantly grabbed and eaten alive, no wonder he would wanted to literally stay at leg's lenght.

    I'm a simple man. I see a video about Leon, I click.
  • This is actually insanely well detailed for an analysis of a fighting style, most videos I see which try to analyze fictional characters’ fighting styles usually just talk about one thing. It’s nice to see just how much time you put looking for the exact move and even pinpointing which style makes sense for previous skills we’ve seen

If you'll continue to do Resident Evil, definitely do Ada Wong.
  • @menumlor9432
Me: how many martial art styles do you know? Leon: yes.
  • @jackbaker2152
That was perfect analysis of Leon's fighting styles I knew from the start Leon is trained in taekwondo as he mainly uses kicks whereas for Chris is is trained in boxing as he uses straight punches, hooks uppercuts and kidney punches Chris mainly uses punches in fighting

Hey guys! Each one of these videos takes about 2-3 weeks to make. This one took closer to 3 due to the sheer amount of games and melee moves to breakdown and analyze. As such, commenting about the content of the actual video besides just leaving your suggestion for the next one is greatly appreciated and will almost always get a response from me. Thanks!

Excellent video, and by the way; I’m a former professional wrestler, and I can vouch that Leon definitely uses a lot of pro wrestling moves in his arsenal. Also, we all should know that pro wrestling is typically scripted, but there’s also a wrestling style called “shoot” style. This is 100% real, there’s no script, and the matches aren’t predetermined. This “shoot” wrestling is especially popular in Japan. The following wrestlers have done this in Japan, and they are: Ken Shamrock Dan “The Beast” Severn Big Van Vader Bad News Brown Gary Albright Bart Gunn Bas Rutten Kazuo Yamasaki
  • YO can you do Wei Shen from sleeping dogs that game if very underrated and he's an excellent fighter
  • @mqfii8992
Leon: Uses a bunch of moves that are taught In the military and government branches, In alignment to his lore. Also Leon: RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!
  • @oz88og40
Leon is a badass in the resident evil series
  • @kento2851
please do a Chris Redfield or maybe even better the ultimate big badass himself Albert Wesker fighting style next :)
  • I love how you can sorta see that Leon probably just used stuff he saw on TV as a rookie, but adapted as he grew up.
