  • This padam is about a lovelorn maiden (devotee) who looks out for the passing chariot--palanquin/procession carrying the lord of Cidambaram hoping to have a darshan and a loving glance of compassion from him to assuage her longing for the lord Nataraja. She is wondering whether the street in which she lives will be on the procession route and whether the lord will cast a glance at her waiting at her door-front. She wishes that the lord will halt in front of her door and whisper sweet nothings to her.❤❤
  • This song was taught by AIR. Tiruchirapalli in the later 1940s , if I remember correct. I used to learn those songs by heart. I am now 88 .

a brilliant padam Composed by Muthu Thandavar ,One among the famous 'Tamil Trinity' of early Carnatic Music. The other 2 were Arunachala Kavi and Marimuthupillai. 🙏 Love From Kerala

Whoa. That was amazing. Camera work is too good. I loved the costumes n jewellery. I want to get to that world .Great work.
  • I liked the concept a lot. It's more of a cinematography piece in itself, with sprinkles of Bharatnatyam elements. What I enjoyed the most is the details : with the kajal, mirror, the well. There's no denying that this can get better, but indeed a great start.

'Theruvil Varano'- Is Natarjan* (Lord Shiva) arriving on the street? Won't he just give a glance at me? The one who burned the TriPuram(three worlds) with his fierce vision.(It's just a gist of the song not a complete translation) *Natarajan- Natarajan is the epithet given to Lord Shiva , who is the performing cosmic dance in Chidambaram Temple,Tamilnadu.
