HOW TO BACKFLUSH THE 24oz GRAYL GEOPRESS PURIFIER

I used an ALDI 15oz Burmans Tika Masala Glass bottle as the backflushing plunger. Backflush 5-20 times depending on how clogged it is. Saves you money from buying Grayl's expensive filters.

1. Fill the inner bottle to 1/3 full with purified water, if you add more water it will just be wasted and seep out of the top.

2. Put the 15oz Burmans glass bottle (or similar glass bottle size) in and push down with fingers to backflush.

3. Untwist filter off and push the glass out from the bottom and repeat steps.

4. Do it 5-20+ times depending on how clogged it is. Easy.

If you have the ultralight grayl bottle, bring the bottle with you to the grocery store and look for a glass bottle that fits in snug enough to push in but not get stuck. Simple.

If you don't want to backflush, go buy the filters every 2 weeks or 1 camping trip for $30+. I don't care. I've been doing this for over a year and I'm fine.
