This video proofed 2 things: 1 - That even Blindness can't limit your work and talent 2 - Bohemian Rhapsody sounds epic on an organ

Watch his face, he is one with the instrument.
  • @Avashantu
His smiles while he plays just warm my heart.
  • This is by far the best Interpretation of this masterpiece of music. My highest respect for the organist.

If you have ever been in the presence of a pipe organ, it is life changing. There is no other instrument that can shake you to your core.

I'm a 55year-old bloke and not usually emotional and I know this is going to sound pathetic, but this made me cry, it's so damn beautiful; what a wonderful interpretation of a classic rock song.

And this man was blind? By any standard this was magnificent.... When a piece migrates to an organ and sounds so good it is brilliant in itself.
  • As a pianist, forced into the role of organist, I was especially impressed with his foot work.
  • The facial expression at 1:30 is priceless. "There ya go girl, have that!" Fantastic skills there playing that.

To my opinion the people here who don't like this performance are narrow in their views. As a child I played church organ for 10 years, then I started to learn blues guitar, rock 'n' roll, later I studied jazz guitar. Bert van den Brink is a great (jazz) musician! To all the people here I wanna say: don't judge, just listen and enjoy all the music there is: from classical music to hard rock!
  • He is not looking at his hands, he is not watching his feet. He is FEELING, feeling the music, and letting it take him, and dictate how he interprets and plays. This must surely be a spiritual experience for both the artist who is being carried along by the music, and those in attendance who are being taken along on a journey into their own souls and exploring their own emotions. I am a rock man, but I love piano and am exploring the pipe organ. This is a journey I embarked on about a year ago, it is simply amazing.
  • I've watched this many times. One of the most incredible renditions of this song ever played. And it shows that pipe organs made with wood and using bellows were doing things that people thought were only possible once synthesisers came along. The variety, majesty and power of this instrument is bewildering. And for a blind musician to master this beast to such a level is yet another testament to one of my deepest held beliefs: Music is the nearest thing to real magic in this world. Bert van den Brink is a true magician.
  • OUTSTANDING!  I am a classically trained organist and conductor and really love the classic organ literature.  I also Love Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.  To combine the two is sheer genius.  This is the kind of thing that will attract young people to the organ again, its versatility.  Thanks Bert.  This was a great way to start the morning.
  • Honestly. Eventhough this is man is blind. His skill is greater than most organists.

Freddie would have loved this masterpiece....well done Bert !
