Klay Thompson is now officially a Dallas Maverick but it didn’t have to be this way. This is a look at why Golden State has most of the blame for the Splash Brothers’ divorce and what’s next for both teams.

  • They paid him $43M for each of the two seasons he missed and then offered him $48M for two years? I hope someone does me dirty like that!
  • @ry_an.
Klay can’t be too mad at the warriors. His play declined and they already gave him a 5 year max in which he didn’t play 2.5 of those years. Still a messy breakup regardless.

This makes no sense. The Warriors gave him a 4 year max deal AFTER he broke his leg, then he tore his achilles keeping him out of the game for over 2.5 seasons. Even after he played below average to straight up terrible in both playoff runs, they still offered him a 2 year deal around $50M prior to last season, which he rejected. And that's before he had his worse season since 2014, then he had one of the worst games of his career.

This is GAS LIGHTING. The Wiggins deal, the jordan pool deal and the Dreymond deal all happened before the new Bargaining Agreement. Thr new CBA has basically made where owners dont want ro shovel out the money, so Wigs, Pool and Green getting paid has nothing to do with respect. Also lets address Klay, Klau was given a deal AFTER he got hurt for 5 years 190 mil. Didnt play for 2 of those years, meanwhile Dreymond had not been taken care if by the organization yet. So Klay feeling disrespected is rediculious.
  • Klay owed nothing to the Warriors and the Warriors owed nothing to him. They very obviously both wanted to part ways, Klay literally told Steph to NOT interfere with the process to keep him. This fake drama shit is so overplayed.
  • @Deondre_Clark
Failed him? He was the 12th highest paid player in the league on a contract he got when he couldn't walk
  • @terrys7666
Paid him 80 million in 2 years to rehab. Yet they did him wrong 😂😂😂
  • They gave Klay a max for two years for absolutely nothing they didn’t do him dirty at all. They owed him nothing especially after he flamed out the past few postseasons.
  • @kristianFL
This is a stupid take. He didn’t play for 2 years but still got paid $80 million. Last year, he went 0-10 in a must-win play-in game. I’m not following what GS did to do him wrong. The media’s really pushing this narrative hard, though.

Klay did the Warriors dirty shooting 0/10 🧱🧱🧱 in an elimination game.
  • @TaintedStaff
Wait the Warriors failed Klay? You mean Klay failed the warriors...
  • I just showed Klay the song “Dupe - Mbappe”, and he said it will help him be motivated this season 🔥🔥🔥
  • @Rosegoldcam
The dubs gave Klay a max when he got injured and didn’t PLAY FOR TWO YEARS!! They offered him 2 years 48 MILLION and he turned it down to be a role player on the Mavs for 3 years 50 MILLION! Klay did the warriors dirty
  • @miyui9269
with klay playing significant minutes with 0 pts in the most important game of their season, no one owes nobody.
  • Not going to bad mouth Klay as a Dubs fan, but if you know you know … organization is not to be blamed either. Myers left cause he knew what needed to be done and he did not have the balls to do it. Loyalty allowed him to leave on his terms. When what was best for the organization was to trade him at the deadline last year. He was respected
  • Bob Myers ran away from this, he also trolled KD during their championship parade that contributed to KD's insecurity within the Dubs. Warriors did the most logical thing to do given the circumstances of the new CBA. People act as if Klay didn't get paid handsomely despite getting injured 🤦
  • The only reason they drafted James Wiseman and not Lamelo is because they wanted to show respect to Klay Thompson and not getting another guard so they won’t make Klay feel like he is getting replaced.
  • @verrirt3211
The f you talking about? He got 2 freaking major injury and warriors kept him. Guess you never really watched the games. His body language sucked hard after his injuries. Rushed shots a lot. Shot bad shots and then pouted when things didn't go well. He's not the patient, lock down Klay amymore.
