There’s a rare interview with actor Vin Diesel in which he confirms he wants to keep making F&F movies until he’s dead. In fact he’s already named the last film. Presenting “The Slow & the Curious”

The Evil Within 2 was open world and still really scary. I think they could definitely make a good open world RE game. I trust Capcom

If RE9 is open world I hope it's more like RE4 in that while you have The Village, The Castle and The Island, that you could visit them in any order in RE9 while the game adjusts where specific items are based on where you go first.
  • Surely Big Money Bobby Vegas has earned a guest spot on the show at this point?
  • The knife thing reminded me of when I got a suspension in 4th grade for playing with a staple remover.

I've owned every PlayStation and I've never even heard of PlayStation Stars. This podcast was the first time.

Brian, the Clone Wars game you described in What We Playin' sounds like Jedi Power Battles. Decent game with some crazily difficult platforming levels.

For the handheld question, highly recommend getting into "mobile gaming." You can do some great emulation and as cloud gaming and phones continue to improve, it'll be the best way to play on the go. I've been diving into that world lately with my Galaxy S24, and I've been enjoying it quite a lot! Get yourself a Backbone or something similar or just connect a controller via Bluetooth.

I'm sitting here playing Minecraft on a PS3 watching your podcast this week. With a box of Playstation (PS1) games sitting nearby. Which includes the first 3 Tomb Raiders. The first 3 Resident Evils. AND Rage Racer and Ridge Racer Type 4. I'd go the other way to Brian on the Type 4 comment. And say that when I originally played it, I found it to be less arcadey than the previous 3 Ridge Racers on the Playstation.

The 'victim surcharge' part of the sentencing proceedings in court judgements is comedic in it's application. There are even victim surcharges added to failing to pay the TV license. They need to call it what it is. A court tax. I'm smart enough to know why they just add it to judgements rather than only cases with an actual 'victim.' (because that would lead to dragging out proceedings with both sides arguing the toss over the definition of the word 'victim.') That doesn't make it right.

Brap brap fellow human gamers. For a brief second when two new presidents was mentioned I thought: the UK has two separate presidents? Obligatory, the cake is a lie. Hey guys, you wouldn't download a car.

I managed to see the Gulf War Gameboy in NY around a decade ago, there was (still is probably?) a small nintendo museum on the first floor where it had Tetris playing on it. The article probably assumed you knew about it because it's been on display for so long; that and it always ends up on a slow news day gaming article. 😅

You guys really need to experience the steam deck. The games that are optimized for it look and perform fantastic. I just played through Doom Eternal and while I'd still prefer playing with a keyboard and mouse, it didn't feel like I was playing a dumbed down version of the game.

Sooo Ashton is Claire, Jill, Rebecca, Moira, Ada not playable female characters huh?

I've not been a fan of Resident Evil games since Code Veronica as such. Though I did grow to love Resident Evil 4 after a good few hours playing it. I even like the Ashley character a lot. And love pinging bullets off her extra 2? costume. Never played the remake of that one though. Doesn't look better to be perfectly honest. RE5 was playable. But it's about as much a Resident Evil game as Serious Sam is. Resident Evil 6 I can't get past an hour of without just turning it off. Resident Evil 7 I managed halfway into before just being bored senseless and quitting. Not bought any of them since. And won't.
