Quick test where I parked facing the main road and drove to my right and left til signal got too low. Also went across the street behind the building I was facing and it held up pretty good. Driving around the buildings behind me was also not a problem. Sitting in the car and without LOS I could go about 360 meters in either direction on the sidewalk, maybe 400 meters if I was in the road.
Still get solid signal to where I could turn around at about 1-2Mbps and nothing tries to drop out. Just need to find a way to do a long range test but still have yet to find a 600M+ stretch. So far this antenna is working out well but I also wouldn't mind going back to the FlyFish RC antenna if I had to. They are both pretty good but this one is just longer.

I keep trying to use this road for a long speed run so I can try out different ESC settings but the traffic is always randomly too heavy. I'll probably add an aluminum center drive shaft and street racing tires as these stocks wear out then try to tune it so I can just drive along with the traffic better. The ballooning on the stock tires make them a little wobbly at the top speeds so I'd want belted tires.

    Gotta check out that Lumenier antenna! And get a pan servo on my rig I saw you check the corner before pulling out and was like wuuuut lol. Need a strong roll cage / guard tho

    "without LOS I could go about 360 meters" – so, with obstrusions between you and the car? Is there a US version of the O3 with more transmitter power than what we get here in the EU? Just a few bushes and I loose signal at unter 200 m. p. s.: who's afraid of speed bumps? 😜
