About UFOs: Investigating the Unknown
In 2021, the US government passed legislation mandating an official investigation into UFOs. This provocative series unspools the history leading up to this momentous change and reports on recent developments. It explores what the government made public versus what was kept hidden; citizens' push for transparency while confronting mass UFO sightings; Navy pilots' reports of unexplainable technology; new cutting-edge scientific efforts; and what the future might hold for this confounding mystery which is the focus of a deepening and expanding search for answers.

Mysterious flying objects. Claims of crashed alien spacecrafts. The U.S. has spent decades inquiring into the unknown—here's what they've learned: on.natgeo.com/3Oien0P

Every time I see Neil Degrasse Tyson , I have to laugh. He is the biggest debunker of all time. If it doesn't fit into main stream physics and science as we know it now , it doesn't exist. I'm glad he wasn't around before the telephone was invented.
  • Carl Sagan would be disappointed in Neil for his skeptic denial of this likely scenario. Miss you Carl.

I just have to applaud National Geographics for taking the risk to present this excellent series with such a sound scientific and journalistic approach. As an ecologist, I feel very supported in my view that probablistically life, even intelligent life, must exist else where in this universe, and especially the multiverse. It is unrealistic to maintain that we are alone.

Neil Degrasse Tyson: "Anything is possible. Search! Explore! Ask questions. Aliens? Nah. It's fake news." I'm so surprised by his absolute skepticism.

Degrasse-Shostak principle: because WE can’t do it, therefore there’s no one in the whole universe who can.
  • @UFOath
Neil Tyson is awfully closed minded for someone who talks about infinity.

About 4-5 years ago my wife (girlfriend at the time) and I were sitting outside on her parent’s driveway, stargazing. It was a beautiful QUIET night with a nice summer breeze. As we were looking up above Oklahoma City, we saw a series of lights in a triangular shape formation, zooming across the clear night sky. They appeared to be higher than any normal craft I have seen, and large for how high up they were. They flew way faster than anything I have ever seen at a normal plane’s altitude and they made 0 sound. I’m not saying it is aliens but I can say with 100% certainty, my wife and I saw a UFO/UAP that night. Craziest thing I have ever seen!
  • I love how just because we haven't figured out how to fly among the stars that scientists say it's almost impossible
  • My favorite part of this video was when The SETI Astronomer said “it could be a balloon.”😳 Where can I buy a balloon that can travel 13,000mph, stop on a dime and then make a 90 Degree turn?🤔

I saw a bunch of UAP’s in 2012. It definitely changes your life. To this day, it is still mind-boggling, how shallowly the media treated this important subject.

I was at a bus stop in southern Missouri in the mid-90’s and my brother and I saw a rotating disk above the tree line. It had a rainbow of lights flashing around it and it slowly disappeared below the tree line. It was really terrifying as a kid.

I had a close encounter with a USO in 1988 that included around 6 hrs of missing time. I was 14 at the time, needless to say it changed my life forever.

I honestly hate all the critics and doubters … these are the most credible witnesses literally on the whole planet telling us straight up !!!
  • "Everything that's in our airspace that shouldn't be there is a threat." is the saddest, most arrogant form of humanity we can show to all other peoples. It's disgusting.
  • @kaysloan2787
Love this guy (Fravor)! He's so dynamic and articulate, his bravery is obvious. What a "commanding" (no pun intended) leader he is!
  • It’s so chilling to see and hear that 1950s video of the general acknowledging the sightings
  • @vanessag2614
As an anthropologist, it's fascinating to think they are just anthropologists in the sky, first do no harm. Then I think of how much anthropologists affected the cultures they witnessed and how witnessing something changes it. Physics, anthropology, it's all so cool.

I am glad it was the US Nimitz that was the ship that helped lay the background for the story. I use to live right across the bay from the US Nimitz when it was docked at Bremerton washington. That thing is as big as a skyscraper turned sideways in the water. Its HUGE. I can say i have seen the ship that help discover aliens. 😊
