Now that I’ve been riding this board for a while, I have a solid idea of who I think it’s best for.
If you’re looking for a high-quality mini-cruiser and your budget ranges from about 140-180ish, you should definitely consider it. And here’s why - the deck shape, hardware, bearings, wheels - well just about every component that makes up this board is the definition of quality.
Bro, this is literally sounding like an advertisement right now, but I promise you it’s not. I’ve never talked to Landyachtz in my life, although if anyone at Landyachtz is reading this, I’d be stoked to work with you guys - just putting that out there ([email protected]).
I’ve also seen many people ask if it’s a good beginner board and my answer to that is… well it can be. Let me clarify…
The more inexperienced you are, the better off you’ll be with a larger board. And that makes sense, right? The more deck space, the more room you’ll have to put your feet and the easier it’ll be to balance.
Since these boards are mini-cruisers, then you might want to consider something longer. I’d recommend spending a little more for the Tugboat series, which is basically the same concept as the dinghy, just scaled bigger.

Hey guys, just to clarify - this is the Dinghy Blunt UV Sun, which is the same length & wheelbase, but 0.6inches wider than the regular one. The wheels are also smaller on this one versus the regular version. Sorry for the confusion - overall, they're similar boards. But just make sure to check the specs before buying to ensure you're getting the right one.

There’s no way this channel isn’t gonna blow up. Everything is too high quality for it not to
-
For under a thousand subs your production value is through the roof. Mad respect.
-
Dude I just looked at the subs you got and I was like. Damn. This channel definitely gonna blow up.
-
Never sponsored, not getting money from this, hes doing this purely for us

I'm a 42 yr old dad, I just started ride a board, and sky is my 1st dinghy ... I died a few times bcoz I'm new, but resurfaced again lol... but hands down.. this is a quality and great board....
-
Id also recommend the Tugboat for a more comfortable ride while still being the great dinghy shape

Glad to see my favorite skateboard YouTuber back with a new video

I just started skating this year, and I learned everything on my mini cruiser (I use one of the magneto boards) and honestly I’m so glad I started on the mini. You don’t develop any bad habits or a dependency on a longer board with more foot space. I love your channel man! Incredible quality and you’re a straight up chill dude. I think the only thing to improve the channel is for more great videos like this to come out. Good vibes and good shredding!

My first cruiser was the tugboat from landyachtz and its amazing I still use it all the time and it's great for starters
-
i absolutely love my dinghy and agreed with everything you said! also, this video quality is insane and im SO happy you came up on my recommended page :) cant wait to binge all of your videos lol also!! once you get the time/resources id looove to see you test out a freebord, i feel like that would be a super neat video if youre in any way interested in it :)))
-
man youre gonna be big soon i can see it. the shooting angles, quality, taking everything apart to show the quality of parts! I hit the sub button faster than a downhill longboarder
-
Oh, hey I bought one of these about a two months ago. I'm absolutely loving it, it's a quick and smooth cruiser I also use it for tricks and grinds it does amazing in those categories as well.
-
been boarding for more than 8 years, and the dinghy was the most versatile and fun board I've gotten.
-
Im glad I found this video otherwise i would have bought the magneto cruiser. Thanks for making these detailed videos. Really helped us a lot in deciding what to get. Got my dinghy 3 days ago. Really enjoy riding it. Safe ride and more power to ur channel!
-
This was a really good quality and really informative video. Thank you!
-
Alright you convinced me to finally get one 😭 I love that you reviewed the exact model I was interested in. Thumbs up and I subscribed. ✌🏽
-
I love my dinghy just for the fun factor. It doesn’t do a lot of things “well” per se but it’s loads of fun. It makes smaller hills feel much more exciting. It’s also the reason for my increased road rash.
