Hello Everyone!

I hope you guys are all doing great!! And I also hope you guys appreciate how much work I put into getting this video out today πŸ˜‚

I just wanted to say again that this is what WE pay and I made this video mainly to give people transparent information about costs when they are choosing where to live in Manila and what to expect. 😊

In the future I might do another video covering "What I spend in a day living in BGC", but for now this more generalised and overall video will need to suffice. 😁

If you guys have any comments or ideas about how to improve the apartment, feel free to leave those in the comments down below, who knows maybe we will implement it πŸ˜‚

If you enjoyed our bgc apartment tour and learning how much it costs to live in this part of Manila make sure you like the video and maybe subscribe, it would be highly appreciated ❀️

Thank you guys so much for all your support recently, it has been incredible πŸ₯°πŸ₯₯🌴 I can't wait to keep uploading more videos for you all and to explore (most of) your beautiful country πŸ˜πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

So far the safest place township to live at within Metro Manila is the BGC. Nice choice though it's a bit expensive, especially among locals. You and your girlfriend can really survive since you're both young professionals. Especially her studying graphic design, which is one of the most sought-after skills employable in the country. The place is a flood-free township since it is ground-elevated and the soil type is so hard called Adobe, not Adobo. Adobe is a soiled rock in nature and it's really really hard ground composition. Commonly found in the highest areas of Taguig and Makati as well.

It’s my first time to watch a vlog from someone now living in BGC, Taguig. Glad to be here. Officially watching your vlogs, Tim. See you soon.

Another great vlog. Definitely appreciate the amount of work going into these videos and the regularity of your uploads is good too. A nice insight into your life there. It's getting ever more tempting to move to the Philippines myself in a few years! I think your rent/costs are good value for what you get. I'm in the UK, so what you've got there is phenomenal value comparatively. If you know, you know... I like BGC a lot, even though it's modern. If I'm not mistaken, Little Venice/Venice Grand Canal are there...

TYSM Tim for making this video - very informative! I have been looking for long-term rental condos and hoping to get one soon! The numbers you mentioned here are not too bad at all! My apartment in the US costs me $1800 monthly! I can save more for 6 months when I stay in Manila :)
  • @KamilleN16

BGC is not a fake Manila. BGC is in Taguig, which is a city in Metro Manila. Compared to BGC, Manila looks older because it has been a long period of time in existence while BGC is a very new city and just exist for a few years and of course more modern and clean. Just imagine a building that has not been renovated for more than 50 yrs. Wouldn’t it be looking old and dirty because it has been exposed to Manila weather and all sorts of people living there. It’s not right to say that BGC is a fake. Be nice and just appreciate of a modern city. Living here in California, just made me realized that not all you see in the movie is really as nice as the reality in Los Angeles district. There are also nice places, but not as nice as BGC. The malls here are nothing compared to the malls in Manila, like MOA or SM city or AYALA malls all over Metro Manila. It’s very ordinary here going to malls here in LA. I just appreciate the beauty of some places there in Manila as I have seen in various YOUTUBE channels from foreigner bloggers who actually love the Philippines, just because they had no places like they’ve seen in the Philippines. Actually in other countries they also have great places but I think foreigners appreciate BGC because it’s such a nice city and more affordable to be there in so many ways.
  • That’s pretty cheap compare to living here in the USA which is $1500 or more for 1 bedroom not including utility bills and groceries. That’s the reason why some Americans choose to retired in the Philippines because the value of the dollar’s equivalent to Philippines money is so much more.
