I love how the show immediately cuts to lasering people in half with a super baby after this genuine heartwarming scene.
-
That hug was so needed for my boy
-
Im not that much into romantical relationships in TV shows but these two got enough chemistry to make them believable. Good show.
-
This is why I love their relationship. Shows the difference between honesty and deception.
-
I feel a lot of people in this show need a fucking hug
-
How is their relationship more believable than most shows or movies it shows how good the actors and directors are
-
It's so interesting how Hugie is both lying and telling the truth. Because he's still covering/obfuscating for him and the boys. But on a different level, he's likely still processing the literal explosion of his previous partner in front of his eyes (and in his eyes).

Starlight is the Starfire to Hughie's Robin.
-
Even when Hughie was still using her, he was always honest. Despite playing a false game, he never pretended to be someone he is not.
-
My boy Hughie moved on so quickly from losing his girlfriend for around few weeks to be in love with other girl
-
Everyone talking about how he's technically right but not saying the full thing and stuff, meanwhile I just take a moment to appreciate the hug, and how they are both looking like they haven't felt something sincerely nice for a long time

“My girlfriend died” more like “a-train ran through my girlfriend and popped her like a water balloon in front of me with her hands still attached to my wrists”
-
Way to bury the lede on the murdered by A-Train part
-
Hughie is a great representation of an "everyman" and the way the type of character is supposed to be written. Even though his character was made to be an average Joe that anybody could relate to, he still has enough skill, charm and development to make the situation hes in believable, and his achievements and relationships are rightfully gained.

The way I view this scene is that she rightfully calls him out for taking advantage of her and he side steps her arguments by bringing up his past trauma. A common way of diverting bad attention is to bring up a deeper issue.

Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan's child everyone! He was born to act
-
Makes me shed a tear every time.
-
Such a great pair of actors to play such a famous comic book couple.
-
That look on her face at the end. May not be what was intended, but it’s almost like she is thinking “that better be a roll of lifesavers in your pocket”.
-
I love how he’s still lying
