I think the reason why there are corpses in the nightmares is because it’s supposed to represent the kids who forced Evan into fredbear s mouth, only fredbear has no corpse in him, only the og four

What's crazy is that I started drawing the Nightmares kind of like this. Similar to the withereds design, but also with corpses inside of them. The nightmares were supposed to be designed similar to springtrap so that's why I started doing it.
