How would China's Invasion of Taiwan Unfold? | Vantage with Palki Sharma

China's president Xi Jinping has refused to rule out the use of force to "reunite" Taiwan with the mainland. Chinese leaders consider it to be unfinished business from the civil war. But Taiwan is not a pushover. It ranks 24th on the global firepower index, ahead of NATO members like Sweden and Canada. The island's defence spending rose 5% annually under the previous president and now stands at 2.5% of the national GDP. An invasion of the island would also require China to ferry tens of thousands of soldiers across the choppy waters of the Taiwan strait, an operation that could last days. Considering these risks and the global fallout, will Xi Jinping go ahead with the invasion? Palki Sharma tells you.

A dictator, driven by his own ambition, not only plunges his own citizens into hardship but also drags the entire world down with him. The world is like a community; when we ignore any violence what we think doesn't concern us, we become accomplices, allow the evil power in this world to defeat over the good.

I am Taiwanese and I am in Taiwan now. Our lives are normal. Airplanes and ships are operating normally and there is no blockade. The Taipei stock market is also not affected at all. Welcome to Taiwan, it is safe here.😆

Yes let’s hope it doesn’t come to war. TY Palki for your insight.

It's strange that some Far-left Taiwanese think that Japan's military will help them in the event of war. Japan has Article 9 of the Constitution, and there are no such numbers of ammunition or transport aircraft in the first place. It is impossible for the Self-Defense Forces to come out to help Taiwan. I understand because I am a Japanese man.
  • An army of one child spoiled brats going for a war?, they would start crying when the fighting starts!.

There are very few Indians in the Chinese media, but the Indian media talk about China every day, and India has never been the object of China's consideration, and you think too highly of yourself.🤣🤣🤣

Just think- What an common man/woman can do in this case. I know most of us will think - "NOTHING", BUT THERE IS A SOMETHING WE CAN DO TO HELP TAIWAN -> #STOP BUYING CHINESE PRODUCTS When Chinese economy will go down, they themselves will be step back. THINK ABOUT IT.
  • Taiwan is an island so that’s already difficult for china, and it’s also a lost.
